La casita is an open plan character cottage in the picturesque white village of Jimena de la Frontera. Situated in a quiet lane leading to the River Hozgarganta. The property stands next to the owners within the mature grounds of impressive rocks, cork oaks and eucalyptus. There are stunning views. The area is well known for bird life, wild flowers and butterflies.

Gibraltar is approximately 45 minutes drive.Jerez 1hr. 30mins. Malaga airport is approximately 2 hours drive. There is a rail service to Algericas and Ronda.
Car hire is recommended.

Further details
The cottage is ideally suited to nature lovers and visitors seeking the real Andalucia. Jimena with it's castle, music festival in July and good restuarants makes an ideal centre for exploring the Moorish villages. Further afield there is Ronda and Seville.

Guest comments
Idyllic location next to the 'lost valley' and perched behind a picturesque pueblo. Within easy discovery of a national park. Tarifa beach is an hour away by car. The Jimena campsite swimming pool is worth a visit as well as a trip to Ronda by the local train. The best part for us has been the lovely vibes of La Casita - everything you could want for a relaxed, chilled out stay. Declan and Claire (Derby).

What a fantastic week - that's what you call a proper relaxing holiday. Ryanair didn't help by changing the time of our arrival but it turned out we saw a fire salamander outside the Casita (after midnight and the rain). Then things just got better. Some beautiful weather for walking, loads of birds, lizards and bugs. You don't need to drive anywhere but a trip to the beach and Roman ruins at Bolonia was well worth it.
