Casa Joya is a typical Andalucian country house in a secluded location with private swimming pool located in hills 5 mins above Torrox Pueblo which is a lovely whitewashed Spanish village with all amenities. Spacious accommodation with 2 beds, 2 baths, (plus possible use of A/C studio) lounge/diner with Andalucian fireplace with wood burner, well equipped kitchen with new appliances, English satellite TV and air-conditioning. The 8m x 4m private pool has sunbathing terraces overlooking the sea, hillsides & mountains. There are alfresco dining areas and comfortable seating facilities under the arched covered terrace enjoying magnificent views of sea, mountains and surrounding hillsides. The house is situated 10 mins from the beaches of Torrox Costa and its lovely promenade with the lively resort of Nerja 15 mins away. On your doorstep there are scenic walks in the picturesque countryside. Access from Torrox village is a 2km uphill narrow tarmac/concrete lane suitable for any car.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Studio is available to let only alongside villa in peak season as extra accomodation at £250 per week. It is available separately only when main villa is occupied by owners on a self catering basis for £210 per week or £60 B&B per night. Please contact owners for availability.
Changeover day
Saturday changeover during peak times but flexibility outside of peak times - please contact owner to discuss. Arrival time 3pm, departure by 11am but may be flexible arrival/departure times depending on other bookings.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning to living room, master bedroom & studio. Wood burner in living room. Care should be taken with young children due to the location of the property on a hillside and the pool not being completely fenced off.
Studio is not rented separately in summer but can be rented separately (B&B or self catering) during off peak times when owners are in villa.
Accessibility
Although Casa Joya is not specially adapted for wheelchair users the property is all on one level apart from one step to front door (ramp available). Spacious rooms, wet-room bathroom, terraces and drive for easy manoeuvrability of wheelchairs. Pool has internal 'walk-in' steps.
Outside
8m x 4m private swimming pool with shower & large sun terraces. Range of sunbeds, patio furniture for al fresco dining, cane furniture for evening relaxation outside under covered terrace. BBQ. Garden areas also land belonging to property to explore with avocados, olives, mangoes, grapes and figs to pick when in season. The views from the house are truly outstanding.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach (10 mins drive) is Torrox Costa with long sandy beach. Several small coves for snorkeling short drive away. Resorts of Nerja & Torre del Mar with lovely sandy beaches 15 mins drive away. AquaVelez Water park 20 mins away.
Golf
Several Golf courses within vicinity.
Skiing
1.5 hours drive from skiing in Sierra Nevada near Granada.

Malaga Airport 40 mins (50km) by car. Granada Airport 1.5hrs.
Car hire is essential due to location of property.

Torrox Pueblo is 5 mins drive or 30 mins walk. There you will find a quaint plaza, bars, restaurants, shops & banks.
10mins from coastal resort of Torrox Costa with all amenities & lovely promenade lined with restaurants.
15 mins from busy resort of Nerja with Balcon de Europa, Nerja Caves & lively markets. 20 mins from resort of Torre del Mar with lots of shops & popular market.
Cosmopolitan city of Malaga 30 mins drive with museums, castle, cathedral, large port & many historic attractions.

Local shops, supermarket, banks and restaurants 5 mins drive away in Torrox Pueblo. Large hypermarket and shopping centre 20 mins away. Granada and Alhambra Palace 1 1/2 hrs away. Hi I'm Joy & my husband's name is Tony. We have been living in Spain for several years now & love the way of life.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought Casa Joya in 2004 & have made many improvements to it. Believe it or not it was already named (almost) after me as the man who sold it to us had a nickname of Antonio Joya!
Although the house was much more basic when we bought it with no drive, pool or terraces we fell in love with the location.
We have travelled a lot around Spain & can't find anywhere that gives us everything we want like the Torrox area can. We have beautiful views, peace & quiet but with the lively tourist resorts only a few minutes away. We can walk the lovely hillsides or the beaches & promenades.
We love it & hope you will too!
