Can Cruanyes is a typical Catalonian farmhouse with its characteristic stone walls and vaulted ceilings, located in a peaceful rural setting and set on 20 acres. The house is situated within the heartland of the Catalonian region in Northern Spain and is surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Pyrenees. The farmhouse was recently renovated and now consists of three superbly furnished apartments which exude comfort and relaxation. Located close to some fantastic medieval towns and villages including Besalu and Girona. The beach is only a short 30 minute drive away also.

Notes on accommodation
Children are welcome and a travel cot is provided for babies. Linen is provided as are towels. All aparments are centrally heated but also contains a log fire burner.
Accessibility
For those with special needs, such as wheelchair access the 3 bedroomed apartment has been modified to cater for visitors with disabilities.
Outside
A large, communal swimming pool with shallow end is available to all who stay at Can Cruanyes.
Coast/Beach
The visitor wishing to relax on the beach will be spoilt for choice, there are numerous beaches dotted along the coast.
The Costa Brava with its long sandy beaches is less than an hours drive from Can Cruanyes, and its resorts have everything the dedicated sun worshipper could need. St. Pedra de Pescadora beach is only 30 minutes drive from Can Cruanyes. There are also numerous small coves and beaches for those seeking a quieter day by the sea or wishing to visit a traditional village.

Distances
Girona is only 30 minutes drive from Can Cruanyes. Besalu is a 10 minute drive and food shopping can be done here. Figerueras (the birthplace of Salvador Dali) is a 25 minute drive from the accommodation.
Further details
The local village Tortella is a typical Catalonian village with narrow streets and a traditional square and church. A number of grocery shops will provide you with all your basic needs, while Olot less than half an hour away has a number of larger supermarkets and a wide variety of shops.
Local Activities: cycling, diving, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing, wildlife, hot air ballooning.
