Casa Izbor is a beautiful, sympathetically renovated village house. The house is situated in the upper barrio of the village and has stunning views over the valley from each bedroom balcony. There is no car access to this part of the village a short walk through a myarid of lanes brings you to the house. There is a private terrace area with BBQ ideal for dining and sunbathing. The village has 2 bars that both have a friendly atmosphere, a small shop and bread man who calls at 9am and walks through the village. The village is situated in a great position very close to the Lecrin Valley and La Alpajarra as well as being 30 minutes away from Granada. It is an ideal base for walking, birdwatching as well as providing the opportunity for art and culture in Granada.

Coast/Beach
20 mins in car to the Costa Tropical, an unspolit coastline which is very quiet with coves and sandy beaches. The nearest beach is Motril which also has a good golf course, further a long the coast 10mins, there is the beautiful beach location of Salobrena.
Golf
A nine hole gof course at Motril 20 mins away, course near Granada 25 mins away.
Skiing
Sol y Nieve is 1hr in a car on very good roads, there are all types of activities there, dog sledging, skiing, snow boarding with all levels catered for.
Special interest holidays
The village of Izbor has easy access to Granada. 30 mins for shopping and culture, Motril & the coast 20 mins for leisure and supermarkets. Lanjaron is 25 mins for walking in the Alpujarras. It is a quiet retreat as well as an ideal base for sightseeing, walking, bird watching or skiing. Walks toward the dam 30 mins through market gardens with elaborate and ancient irrigation systems. There is a circular walk to the nearby village of Los Acebuches, this follows a series of tracks around the valley and takes around 2 hrs. Ideal for birdwatching, our Izbor list includes Golden Oriole, Red-Rumped Swallow (on the balcony!).

Granada fly Ryanair from, East Midlands, Stanstead and Liverpool or Monarch 30 mins in a car.
Malaga Jet2 Leeds, Bradford and Manchester BMI Baby East Midlands, EasyJet - Stanstead, East Midlands.
Distances
Granada and the Alhambra Palace is 30 mins away. Lanjaron and its mountain villages is 15 mins drive.
