This quaint open plan apartment is an ideal holiday accommodation with a lift to the fourth floor penthouse. Outside the main entrance you will find English daily newspapers sold in the shop next door and a freshly baked bread and cake shop on the other side. A delightful little town with typical Spanish tapas bars and restaurants, chemist supermarket, banks, and all manor of interesting curio shops. It is a 10/15 minute walk to the beach or 2 minutes by car, with all general amenities literally on the door step. The local bus stops right outside the door which will take you along the coast in either direction including the sophisticated town of Alicante and the much sought after little town of Guardamar. Plan any trips with the help of the tourist office only 200yds from the apartment. The beautiful unspoilt beaches stretch for 13km, continuing down to Guardamar marina and towards Orihuela costa.

Notes on accommodation
Because this is a cosy little retreat it is most suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. There are 2 single beds to accommodate 2 children. For safety reasons please ensure that children are not left unattended at any time on the balcony or terrace.

Amenities/Facilities provided

 

Outside
A large private roof terrace is equipped with 2 sun loungers for day time sun bathing, and table, chairs and sun shade. A key will be provided on arrival.

Coast/Beach
On a clear day, from the penthouse window, in the bay, you will see the Island of Tabarca, a little Island worth a visit, fortified as a prision camp in the 18th century and now home to a small fishing community, this and many other trips are found in the tourist office 2 minuets fronm the apartment. the beach is 5 minutes by car and 10/15 minutes walk. Apart from the rustic beaches there are stunning walks and scenary all along the coast line which attract naturists and artists alike.

Golf
La Marquesa golf course is 15 minutes away with 3 more established golf courses only 30 minutes drive on the Orihuela Costa - Villa Martin, Las Ramblas, and Campoamor. La Finca is a new golf Course under construction sporting 2/18 hole and 1/ 9 hole course being built to international standards - 30/40 minutes drive away but now playing part of the course.

Special interest holidays
There are special interests for Artists and naturists, and the near by town of Elche rests on the salt lakes, the tempory resting and nesting place for many migatory birds, the La mata area also has its salt flats, and natural park area.

Travel
Alicante Airport is 30 minutes away, Murcia Airport 30/40 mins away.

All water sports and excursions can be arranged from Santa Pola 10 minutes on the main N332 where the ferries leave, any further information can be obtained from the tourist office 2 mins away from the apartment. Car hire is easily arranged from the airport or transferes can be organised when booking the apartment.

Distances
Alicante is the main city, very cosmopolitan and still remains authentically Spanish especially in the older parts of the town. The famous port comes to life around 10pm with its many bars and exclusive restaurants. The much sort after town of Guardamar is only 5 minutes away with its beautiful sand dune beaches and authentic cuisine. Guardamar parks are well worth a visit - large ponds with beautiful peacocks, ducks, fish and turtles.
Guardamar has much to explore.

Further details
There are many little bars and restaurants in La Marina, with all you need in the way of interesting curio shops to supermarkets and banks on the door step.
