This new, luxurious property is built on a gently sloping, 3 acre olive grove. The house’s main level has an open patio, around which one has access to the living room with fireplace, a terrace with beautiful views of the Sierra de Grazalema and Ronda, the dining room, a fully equipped designer kitchen, a powder room, and one guest room with bathroom. A hall way on an intermediate level provides access to two additional bedrooms each with bathroom. The master bedroom is located upstairs. It has a large bathroom and private roof terrace with gorgeous views. An additional bedroom which doubles as the TV and game room with sitting area and a bathroom is on the lower level. The house also has a separate basement area with sauna, shower and gym. The swimming pool is surrounded by a large terrace with pool house and a roofed, poolside bar with BBQ.

Kitchen: The large designer kitchen has a 5 burner cook top mounted on a center island with overhead exhaust, separate electric oven, microwave, 2 dishwashers, a wood burning oven, US sized refrigerator with freezer and ice maker, and a dining area for 6 people.
Utility Room: The utility room on the lower level has washer and dryer, as well as additional refrigerator and trunk freezer.
Living Rooms: The living room with fireplace and terrace has 2 separate sitting areas with 3 sofas; the dining room table sits comfortably 10 people; kitchen, dining room and living room have access to an internal patio with sitting area.
Other: The villa has a separate basement with sauna and gym, shower and toilet.

Notes on accommodation
This new villa is built in elegant yet rustic, Andalusian style with marble floors, central, under floor heating, antique Spanish wooden doors and high, sloped ceilings. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan for warmer weather, although the house is always pleasantly cool due to thick double walls and typically cool over night temperatures in the summer. The proprietors owned a well-known Spanish restaurant in Manhattan, so the ability to entertain friends and to enjoy fine cooking and dining were primary goals taken into consideration when this house was designed.
The TV room on the lower level is also a sitting and gaming room with 2 additional beds and bathroom. There are plenty of games, Play Station 2 video console, and a growing DVD library.

Outside
The sloping garden blends into an olive grove with over 80 old olive trees and a vegetable garden near a small creek at the bottom of the property. The private, terraced pool area with a 10 by 4 meter salt water pool is located in the rear of the house. The pool has its own shower and bathroom building with kitchenette as well as a roofed bar area and grill for pool side barbecuing. The unheated pool is open from May till October.

Coast/Beach
The beaches of Costa del Sol are situated along one of Europe's most formidable summer resorts of the cities of Marbella, Puerto Banús, and Sotogrande on the Mediterranean Sea. The marina of Puerto Banús hosts some of the world's most luxurious yachts. On the Atlantic side, the beaches are endowed with copious, white sand and steady winds, making this area ideal for wind and kite surfing.

Golf
The property is surrounded by over 40 of Spain's finest golf courses on the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz many of which are reachable in less than 50 minutes by car. Except for during the July and August summer vacation in Spain, many courses are pleasantly uncrowded.

Skiing
For ski folks the Sierra Nevada is a real treat. With over 90 km of ski trails, modern facilities and lifts, it is the second largets in Spain. Especially in the early spring season (March - April) where (already below average) rates go down to medium and low season, the treeless slopes are among the highest (2000 - 3000+ meters) in Europe, there are stunning views of the Granada valley and the Mediterranean Sea on the many crystal clear blue days with unlimited visibility under a glistening early spring sun. The Sierra and its slopes are about 2 hours away from the villa.

Special interest holidays
Some of Europe's most important cultural cities such as Córdoba, Granada, and Sevilla can easily be reached for enjoyable and extraordinary sight seeing excursions. These cities offer historic sights of incomparable beauty as well as an opportunity to meander through charming, narrow streets and visit fine Andalusian shops, tapas bars and restaurants. In addition, one can drive through Spain's unique Sherry wine regions of Jerez and Sanlúcar, visiting such famous Sherry bodegas as Domecq, Gonzalez Byass, Lustau, Hidalgo and many others. One of Europe's most intriguing bird sanctuaries, The Doñana National Park, is a popular attraction for nature lovers. A day trip to Tangiers, Morocco with a visit to the fascinating and colorful local souks is only a few hours away by taking the high speed ferry from Tarifa.

Travel
The villa is accessible through a remote controlled iron gate at the end of a small driveway. The house is located 1.5 km away from the charming, rural and still untouched village of Arriate and 8 km away from historic Ronda. Ronda is situated 1 hour from the airport of Málaga, 45 minutes from Marbella and the Costa del Sol, as well as 1 hour and 15 minutes from downtown Sevilla.

Further details
Ronda is a beautiful Andalusian mountain city with a population of under 40,000. It is a perfect destination to spend an afternoon walking through the narrow streets of its ancient historic city center with a centuries old bridge over a 100 m deep gorge that divides the old and the newer parts of the city and with the oldest bull fighting arena in Spain. Ronda is located in midst of the scenic Serranía of Ronda, dotted by the picturesque white Andalusian villages such as Gaucín, Grazalema, and Zahara, an ideal area for sight seeing, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, and sail gliding.
