Detached country cottage with pool in its own olive grove, surrounded by well tended garden with roses, oranges, cherries and figs. The pool is open all year round. Away from it all in a spectacular setting, with views of the Alpujarra and Contraveisa mountains. The house is at the end of a mile long tarmac road that is easily navigable with an ordinary car, and is equipped and furnished to a high standard. There is an open fire and electric heating for winter. The house is in a tiny hamlet with 3 other houses, and you can park nearby at the old schoolhouse and walk the last 50m down to the house. The owner will be on hand to help with the luggage on arrival and departure.

Covered terrace with table and chairs, surrouded by vines and Jasmin. Well maintained and stocked gardens with barbece. A large lawn surrounds the 8m x 4m pool, which has electric pump and filter and is open all year round. There are 6 sunloungers for use by the pool.

Coast/Beach
The coast is a 45 minute drive.

Travel
Malaga airport is a 2.5 hours drive.
Car hire is essential, advice can be given.

Further details
The immediate vicinity offers walking, mountain biking and horse-riding, or simply relax by the pool and soak up the sun. There are no bars or restaurants within walking distance, but a whole variety within a 10/15 minute car journey. The nearby white towns of Pampaneira, Bubion and Capileira have choice of shops and restaurants. Further afield, the Moorish city of Granada beckons, and a visit to the Alhambra Palace is not to be missed. The coast near Salobreñar is only 45 minutes drive away. The Sierra Nevada Natural Park is over 170,000 hectares in size and contains the peaks of Alcazaba, Veleta and Mulhacén, all over 3,000m. The high peaks form a spectacular backdrop, being dusted with snow for much of the year. One of the best times to visit is spring, which in Andalucia starts in February. At this time the wild flowers and the fruit and almond blossoms are at their best. There is a wide variety of deciduous trees within the area that offer wonderful colour changes during autumn.

Booking notes
The price includes gas and electricity. Firewood is payable locally. The local Spanish owner will meet you on arrival and be available throughout your stay, should the need arise.
