Casa Sol y Mar is a spacious 2 storey semi-detached house situated in Almeria Province, the gateway to the Alpujarra mountains, in the coastal village of Guainos Bajos, 3km from the lively port of Adra. The slightly elevated property with large south facing sun terrace and magnificent sea views is only a short walk, across the quiet village coastal road, to a choice of three Blue Flag beaches, the nearest a long stretch of fine shingley sand, then the main beach with bar, shower and toilets, and finally a quiet rocky cove with cave ideal for snorkelling.

Notes on accommodation
1 bedroom is on the ground floor.
The house is not suitable for families with very young children, groups of teenagers or pets.
Accessibility
The house is suitable for wheelchair users as there is a bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. There is a step, however, from the front door on to the patio and then a step from the patio on to the drive way.
Outside
The sun terrace (15m long and 3m wide) is reached from a galleried landing at the top of the wide staircase, and can also be accessed from the master bedroom. With a large awning, table and chairs and BQ it is ideal for al fresco dining as well as sun bathing.
There is also a small patio and a few trees at the front of the house on the ground floor. Off road parking, for several cars, is at the side of property on spare ground.
Coast/Beach
The house, on the sea front, is slightly elevated overlooking a cliff and is about 100m walk (on the flat) to the nearest beach below.
Golf
Golf 20 minutes away in Almerimar.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada some 120 km away in Granada and Puerta de La Ragua 1 hour away by car.
Travel
Almeria airport is 50km away, all motorway. (House only 2 minutes to motorway access). Malaga airport 160km away is also an option. Car hire is recommended but not essential as the village is on a frequent bus route and taxis are reasonably priced.

Casa Sol y Mar is ideal for those seeking relaxation, hill walking and those who want to explore real Spain. Granada and the Sierra Nevada, Almeria City, Guadix, Mini Hollywood, are all within easy reach. Adra itself is a lively port and market town sporting many banks, supermarkets, restaurants and tapas bars. There is also a modern American style shopping centre/leisure complex 14km away at El Ejido.
The nearby Hotel Mirador has an indoor swimming pool, leisure suite and is open to non-residents for a small charge.
