My apartment is in Mediterraneo 1 a private gated complex in landscaped gardens featuring two swimming pools and a tennis court. In a great location close to stunning blue-flag Carabassi beach and only ten minutes from Alicante airport (not under flight path). Local shops, restaurants and nature reserve are within five minutes walk. If hiring a car there are numerous places of interest including the old barrio and marina of Alicante, traditional towns of Elche and Guadalest, and the Spanish resorts of Santa Pola, Guardamar and Campello.

Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels). These are changed weekly. |
Notes on accommodation
The lounge is air conditioned, with additional fans in all rooms. Heating is provided for winter. The large roof-top garden is reached by a wrought iron spiral staircase outside the the kitchen (not suitable for very young children). Additionally we have a two bedroomed town house, with small garden area, also available within the same complex.

Outside
My roof-top garden has stunning views over the nature reserve and mountain range. It is very large (ie the surface area of the apartment)and is well planted. The terrace includes comfortable sun loungers and cushions, a mosaic dining table and chairs, an umbrella, and a barbecue. Also provided are portable sun loungers for use by the pool or on the beach. There is also a small private balcony area on the accommodation floor.
The complex is extremely well maintained. The 2 swimming pools are large which makes them suitable for swimmers as well as those cooling off. The pools are often quiet even in the height of the season. Please note - the pools operates to Spanish traditions ie close from 3-5pm for siesta.
Coast/Beach
The beach is the blue flag Carabassi beach - a natural sand duned beach with pine trees, and is a 15 min walk away. Within 10 mins drive in either direction, along a beautiful coast road, are the Spanish resorts of Arenales and Santa Pola - here you will find lots of cafes, restaurants, etc. Other beautiful beaches within 20-30 mins drive include La Marina and Guardamar, to the south passing the stunning salk lakes. Tabarca Island is a day trip away from Santa Pola marina.
Golf
There are numerous golf courses in the area, with several within a fifteen minute drive.
Travel
Alicante airport is ten minute drive away. From Alicante it is also possible to travel to and from Majorca by car ferry.

Alicante 20 mins drive. Elche 15 mins drive. Santa Pola 10 mins drive. La Marina 15 mins drive. Guardamar 25 mins drive.
Campello 30 mins drive.
Booking notes
Booking can be made by telephone or email, and can be confirmed with a £50 or euro deposit. The remaining payment to be made in euros on arrival at the property.
