Notes on accommodation
The sofa converts to a double bed.
Outside
Rear terrace accessed from the bedroom with small table and two chairs. Front terrace with table and four chairs and private garden area. Direct access to pool and garden area. Pool and garden maintained to a high standard.
Coast/Beach
Less than 5 minutes walk to the large sandy beach of Riells. Very safe bathing for children.
Golf
Several golf courses from pitch and putt to full courses within half an hour's drive.
Skiing
Vallter 2000 ski resort approximately 2 hours drive.
Travel
Gerona airport approximately 20 minutes drive and served by Ryanair. Car hire not essential but recommended for visiting the many beauty spots and places of interest on the Costa Brava.
Distances
Main village of L'Escala approximately 2.5km. Roman ruins of Empuries approximately 3.5km (largest archaeological site of its kind in Europe). Barcelona approximately 2 hours drive. Also accessible by train from Figueres.
Figueres and Dali museum approximately half an hour's drive.
Further details
Shopping and beach area of Riells less than 5 minutes walk. Includes supermarkets, banks, bakers, restaurants and bars. Beach and souvenir shops open in the summer season. Large aqua-park near the town of Roses. Tickets can be booked locally to include bus transport.
Land train runs along coastline from Montgo through Riells to Sant Marti from June to September.
