This is a beautiful old cottage recently renovated and equipped to a high standard. Nestled in the hillside above Torrox Pueblo, it enjoys magnificent views of the sea and mountains. On your door step are several lovely walks where you can often enjoy the hospitality of the local Spanish families who will invite you in to taste their wine. Torrox is a typical Andalucian white village and has all the ambience of old Spain with a quaint square offering tapas bars, restaurants and shops together with an impressive church. 10 minutes away you will find Torrox Costa with it's long sandy beach, wonderful promenade and good quality restaurants and water sports. The beautiful town of Nerja is only a 15 min drive along the coast and is lively, full of restaurants, shops and pretty beaches. If you are looking to explore some of the cultural attractions in southern Spain then the cities of Malaga, Granada and Seville are all within reasonable driving distance.

Bedroom 2 - Bright and cosy bedroom with twin beds and great views. Fan and electric heating panel.
Bathrooms: En suite shower room to bedroom 1.
Family bathroom with bath/shower over.
Kitchen: Separate Spanish style kitchen fully equipped with oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Living Rooms: Set on one level and beautifully decorated the lounge/diner is open plan complete with log burning stove, electric panel heating, Sky TV and DVD/Videotape player and CD/radio.
Other: Shaded under an old grapevine and olive tree is the BBQ area a must for Spain and al fresco dining. Fully tiled and well equipped with gas BBQ and double hotplate.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels included and changed weekly. Beach and pool towels not included. You can have a maid service if you wish the price is additional and can be arranged on arrival.

 

Notes on accommodation
A log burning stove for those cooler winter nights with one basket of logs included in the price. Additional logs can be purchased as required.

Outside
There are plenty of terraces around the cottage for you to enjoy. A pretty covered terrace to the front of the cottage provides wonderful views across the valley and has a large wrought iron table and chairs for your al fresco dining. To the left and at the same level is the well equipped BBQ area. Follow the steps down between two lovely old olive trees and you will come to another terrace which is great for having coffee or tapas and enables you to look down over the village and out to sea. A few steps down from this is a sun terrace with shade and large private pool where you are completely secluded and can relax undisturbed all day if you wish. There are chairs and sun loungers around the pool area for your comfort.

Coast/Beach
The secluded coves of Maro are only a short drive away and are especially good for snorkeling, while the bustling town of Nerja has many sandy beaches and coves. Torrox Costa has a beautiful sandy beach and the long promenade is lined with restaurants, pavement cafes and bars offering all kinds of water sports and fun facilities. Aquavelez Water Park at Torre del Mar 20 mins away is a must for all the family.

Golf
The coastline east of Malaga is served with several good golf courses, Anoreta and Baviera are only 20 minutes away.

Skiing
The ski resort nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Granada is a wonderful ski experience and can be reached within 2 hours drive from Torrox.

Travel
Car hire is essential.
Malaga Airport - 45 min by car.
Torrox Pueblo provides a good Taxis and Public Transport facilities.

Torrox Pueblo - 10 min.
Torrox Costa - 10 min.
Nerja - 15 min.
Frigiliana - 15 min.
Mountain village of Competa and National Park - 30 min.

Further details
Torrox Pueblo has a number of banks, small shops, restaurants and bars whilst Torrox Costa has many large supermarkets.
Nerja provides interesting shops, a wide variety of restaurants and tourist attractions ie. Balcon de Europe and the famous Nerja Caves.
Malaga is a large cosmopolitan city providing museums, a Cathedral, a large port and many historic attractions.

A non refundable 25% deposit secures the booking with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure

Guest comments
After our last visit to Finca Jacaranda last year, we really couldn't think of anywhere we'd rather spend our holidays this year. Beautifully located of course we could gaze at the view forever; read copious amounts of fiction round the pool and laze our time away without any guilty feelings at not getting out and doing more.

We've stayed at four different Fincas in Andalucia and this is the best to date. Lynda has taken such care to ensure a comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings. One week was not enough - we will be back.

We both absolutely loved our stay, particular highlights were the swallows diving in the pool to drink and guessing how many old gents would be sitting on the village bench just passing the time of day.
