The nicest plazas in town like Bibrambla and Plaza Trinidad are two steps away. Also, the famous market of San Agustin, behind the Cathedral.

One of the nearest beaches with impressive castle and the village is Salobrena, only a 45 minute car journey. La Rabita is another not to be missed destination. La Herradura, Ronda, Marbella.
Skiing
Behind Granada are the lovely Sierra Nevada mountains for winter skiing,less than one hour away.
Safe mountain walking tracks on historic mule tracks in the Alpujarras. An area of over forty small white unspoilt pueblos
One and a bit hours from Granada.

One and half hour to Malaga.
Parking is difficult in Granada, public transport and taxis are inexpensive and efficient.

Seville, Cordoba, Malaga, the coast, can be accessed by good bus service. Hire car company permit parking on their property close by
the apartment.

Further details
It's easy to explore all the highlights of Granada, like the Albaicin, because it is exactly situated in the lowest part of the Albaicin. But in Plaza Nueva there are mini buses going to Albaicin Alto, like the famous Plaza San Nicolas Alhambra, to get the best view of Granada and the Alhambra.

Las Alpujarras - the white villages-The Arab Baths only 5 minutes from the apartment recreates some of the Nazari customs for you to enjoy such as a relaxing bath that alternates hot water and cold water pools. About the owner
I am an Australian Master Builder. We came to Ferreirola when we met 25 years ago. After exploring most of the 45 villages that make up the Alpujarras we found Ferreirola to be the prettiest and most tranquil of all the villages. We bought a ruin of a house and together restored it to its original concept only with mod cons and modern comforts. Importantly making all paper work, titles, registration of Titles, Council Permits, drains, water, plumbing, electrics, in order. Restored from Roof to Foundations in the manner I have built all my life in Australia. We live between Australia and Ferreirola. We are always glad to return to our work in Ferreirola. Being a disciple of the famous of the famous catalan arquitect Gaudi. We made the inside comfortable, papers all in order and legal.

The real Spain is in the south, GRANADA! free tapas with the drinks! its a happy city,not too big,walkable and lots and lots of incredible fiestas.The apartment is a stroll to the Alhambra,its next to Plaza Nueva,Plaza Bib Rambla,Plaza Trinidad. We are in the old romantic district the Albaicin,with its maze of narrow cobbled streets and look out of San Nicholas in front of the Alhambra.Our street is a narrow no traffic pedestrian walkway lined with Moorish tea rooms and restaurants. Our apartment is one of a small group in an enclosed garden patio with fountains, top floor of 3 stories and its own private patio off the lounge area.Modern, but built in the old Andaluce style of old Spain.We only rent it out a few times a year as we cant resist using it as often as we can.We are Australians.

The pleasure of the secret garden and patio as one opens the door from the street and enters this secluded Andalucian world. Very efficient bus services, that lead on to all the southern cities,Cordoba, Malaga, Servilla, the coast. Ski slopes one hour away, surf beaches one hour. The white villages of the Alpujarras 1.5 hrs. International Granada airport 30 mins. Hire cars in Plaza Nueva, leave your car with them of a night. Don't let your wife have the credit card when she sees the local street lined with shoe shops!
