Changeover day
Bookings will be from Saturday to Saturday and we would ask that the Cortijo is vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Arrival time is between 17 and 23hrs.

Not suitable for young children [both the sunroom and twin bedroom have full length windows which are not railed and the swimming-pool has no shallow end
Solar power with converter to 220 V [most appliances allowed].
Outside
The entrance to the house is from a furnished terrace, ideal for barbecues and al fresco meals. A five minute stroll up a country path - or you can drive - brings you to the private pool (10m x 5.5m; 2m deep) alongside a paved area for sunbathing and picnics. The pool area is situated in a beautifully secluded spot on the very edge of the oakwoods, overlooking a mountain meadow.

Costa del Sol 2 1/2 hrs.
Almeria - Cabo de Gata - 3 hrs.
Golf
Granada - 1 hr 30 mins - Granada Golf Club.
Costa Tropical/Motril - 1 hr 30 mins - Los Moriscos Golf Club.
The Costa del Sol - a 2 to 3 hrs drive - has got several golf courses.
Almeria - a 3 hrs drive - has got several golf courses.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada Ski resort is accesible from Granada.
Special interest holidays
We offer Spanish lessons, if you are interested let us know in advance. The owner is a qualified Spanish teacher and gives courses in the area. More information is available on request.
Travel
Granada airport 1.50 mins. Malaga airport 2 3/4 hrs. We recommend full travel, health and cancellation insurance.
Car hire is essential.
Distances
3km from Busquistar for basic shopping, 8 km from Trevelez for shops and banks, 28km from Orgiva for most facilities. Granada 1 hr 30 mins. Malaga 2 hrs 30 mins.
Further details
Just behind the house one can join the route GR7 - that runs from Southern Spain to Greece, up to the high mountains, through valleys, rivers and picturesque villages. Taste the local food - famous cured ham, wine.
Horse riding close by, Para-Gliding, Mountain biking, etc
Winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada ski resort. Local Artisan products in the fascinating mountain villages. Granada with historical monuments like the Alhambra Palace.
