Notes on accommodation
Unusually for an apartment, the terraces are very private. Most apartments overlook or are overlooked by other terraces in the same block. Ours are not and are very private - topping up the all over tan is a definite option !
Equipped to a standard not normally associated with rental accomodation (we spend as much time here as possible during the year!). Extensive DVD collection, books, and satellite channels (ITV and BBC channels and many, many more) and high speed wireless internet access all available to guests. Also TV/DVD (without satellite access) in twin bedroom, ideal for keeping the children amused!
Outside
Two terraces overlooking the exclusive marina, Almunecar and the sea. Chairs, tables, sun loungers, barbecue and stunning views all provided.
Coast/Beach
The beach and marina are a 10 minute walk down the hill. Car takes two minutes with lots of unrestricted parking for beach and restaurants. Sun loungers can be rented on the beach and there is a beach restaurant. There are also many good restaurents on the marina wall.
Golf
Very good 18 hole course at Baviera GC in Velez-Malaga (25 minutes drive). 18 hole course at Anoretta 30 minutes in same direction.
18 hole course at Salobrena (20 to 30 minutes drive in opposite direction).
18 hole course on south-east Granada (45 to 50 minutes drive).
Skiing
Excellent skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains approx 75 mins away.
Special interest holidays
Scuba diving is a prominent activity in this area with very good quality dive schools in the Marina.
Two minutes walk from the apartment is a 4 star hotel with spa/wellness centre with treatments available to non residents.
Travel
Malaga airport is just 50 minutes drive to the west. Granada with its recent plane access from Gatwick or Stansted is just over 1 hour to the North.
Distances
Granada with the magnificent Alhambra palace is just one hour's drive to the north whilst the picturesque 'White Towns' are between one and two hours drive to the north west. The Alpujarra (setting for Chris Stewart's DRIVING OVER LEMONS) is 45 minutes drive. The nearest 'big' town (Almunecar) is only 5 kms to the east. La Herradura, the charming Spanish resort is just over the headland, a short drive or 15 minute walk.

20% deposit payable upon booking, balance due 6 weeks before rental. Breakages deposit of 200 euros payable in advance.
