Notes on accommodation
It is a lovely area, quite but the supermarket is just at the entrance of Torre Vella. It is a large supermarket. Estartit is at 3 km, it has a harbor, large sandy beach and boulevard. Shopping street, plenty of restaurants, terraces and bars. Nice weekly market. Favorite place for divers and snorkeling because of the Medes islands.
On the Torre Vella is a bar restaurant with large pool, Club Torre Vella. You can also use this pool. It has a big pool and children pool with garden, terrace and pool bar with spectacular views.

The entrance on the front has a gate. The patio around the swimming pool has sun beds and garden furniture. (table, chairs and umbrella)
Coast/Beach
Estartit has a large and wide sandy beach from 5 km, by car only few minutes. Part of the beach is available for parking. (free)
There are showers, rental of sun beds and umbrellas. Also water bikes can be let. It has various beach bars.
There are many beautiful small beaches and coves in the area.
Golf
Just 3 km from Torre Vella you find a pitch and put in Gualta.
Defined as a PAR 3 of short distances, the 18 hole Par3 p&p Gualta course is a golfers’ delight, with bunkers, lakes and large greens it provides a challenge for golfers of all levels and abilities. The advantage for beginners is the fact that they are allowed to play the course after having taken only a few lessons. The more experienced golfers can enjoy playing the beautiful holes while practicing their often neglected short game.
Golf Empordà is a one of the best golf courses in Spain. (aprox. 4 km)
On the road from Torroella de Montgi to Pals.
The Empordà golf resort offers two magnificent itineraries: Empordà Links among lakes and dunes, and Empordà Forest which meanders among pines and lakes. The architect, Robert von Hagge has managed to improve an already stellar setting by creating a technically perfect course that allows for a wide variety of swings and techniques.

Further details
Estartit is a popular seaside resort on the Costa Brava.
It has a lovely shopping street, Santa Ana, a the beautiful promenade, a marina and plenty of terraces and restaurants.
The Medas islands are a favourite place for divers. A mile of the coast of Estartit.
The protection of the zone has made it easier to enjoy all kinds of sports: snorkeling, diving, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and water skiing. You can also make a boat trip around the islands, definitely worth while.
But there are also plenty of other sports you can enjoy: Quads, horse riding, golf (there is a Pitch & Putt but also one of European most attractive golf course with 36 holes), delta light flying, tennis, sailing, carting, fishing, bike riding, squashing.
The weekly Thursday market is nice to visit but also the Monday market in Torroella de Montgrí is worth a visit. You also find lovely shops and bars.
