Xaymaca has been restored with modern installations for a comfortable stay offering: individually regulated central heating system, air-conditioning units in bedrooms, standing fans downstairs, although thick stone walls provide a cool atmosphere during the summer months. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking enthusiasts. Quality bed and bath linen, duvets, blankets, cot linen. Welcome amenities and special complimentary grocery pack on arrival. Accessibility
Xaymaca is a two storey house, with steps both indoors and outdoors. The patio and garden area are also on different levels and therefore not suitable for persons with restricted mobility.

Outside
There is a wide choice of different outdoor areas to spend one's time. The former oil mill has been converted into an open-air moorish-style enclosed patio with fountain, plants and teak outdoor furniture ideal for enjoying alfresco meals. On a separate level, is the garden area where the private 11x4m floodlit swimming-pool, covered porch, BBQ and fruit orchard are located. Outdoor furniture and sun loungers are provided and a sun umbrella. Guests can enjoy relaxing siestas under shady trees, or sunbathing in the garden overlooking the valley. There is a covered porch with dining table, chairs and a separate 'chill-out' area. Guests can wander and pick a variety of fruit from the orchard or Mediterranean herbs when in season. Magnificent panoramic valley and mountain views from pool and garden area.
Beach umbrellas and pool toys are provided. Xaymaca has its own private and enclosed parking area with direct access to the house.

Coast/Beach
Nearly 15km of European awarded Blue Flag beaches are just 10-20 mins away by car from the house. Long sandy and shallow beaches between Oliva and Denia for safe swimming and water sports, winds urfing, kite-surfing, water-skiing etc. Small rocky coves for snorkelling between Denia, Javea and Moraira.

Golf
Xaymaca is only 15-20 mins from 3 championship 18-hole golf courses - the 18 hole Oliva Nova Golf Course in Oliva designed by Seve Ballesteros (15 mins)
La renowned Sella Golf and Spa Resort, designed by Jose Maria Olazabal offers an 18 and 9 hole course near Denia in beautiful surroundings. (15 mins by car).
The Javea Golf Course (9 holes) is only a 15 mins drive.
Other golf courses near Moraira, Benidorm Calpe and Altea are only 20 - 30 mins drive by motorway.

Skiing
The Ski resorts of Valdelinares and Javalambre in the province of Teruel, located 150km. north-west of Valencia are 2 hours drive away.

Guided walking or cycling tours available. Aromatherapy massages. Spanish lessons.
In Low Season, Xaymaca is the ideal venue for holding small group courses, coaching or business incentive trips. The owners can organize cookery courses, wine tasting tours and gastronomic routes to small but internationally acclaimed wineries/restaurants in the area.
From September- November: trips to nearby villages can be arranged to see how raisins, wine and olive oil are made.

Valencia and Alicante airports 90kms. Gandia Train Station 30 mins by car (trains to Valencia, Madrid and rest of Spain). Denia 15km. Scenic tourist train to Alicante. Portsmouth - Bilbao/Santander: a good option to visit other parts of Spain during an 8 hour drive to Benimeli. AP7 motorway link 6km.Car hire is recommended.

About the owner
After living for many years in the north of Spain, and tired of the rain and cold, my (Spanish) husband and I decided to change our lifestyle and professions and move to a warmer and sunnier region. Our idea was to set up and manage a country style holiday accommodation - known as rural tourism in Spain (a similar concept to French gîtes).

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We already knew this area well and saw the potential for starting our holiday rental business.(tranquillity, stunning scenery, nature options,walking & cycling trails, golf, horseriding, beaches, historic sites, easy access to main motorway networks linked to the rest of Spain). In short, the perfect location where there really is something to suit everyone! It took us 3 years to buy & painstakingly restore 2 rundown 19th C Spanish fincas located close to each other on the outskirts of Benimeli, a picturesque village semi-surrounded by low mountain ranges, in the lush citrus growing Rectoria/Orba valley spreading down to the sea between Oliva & Denia. Here you experience the real Spain: friendly locals, wine & tapas in village bar, traditional bakery, yet within 10 minutes of the coast!
