It is in a quiet peaceful location yet the nearest town is only 10 mins drive away. Inside the house it is fully furnished with every modern amenity to ensure total comfort. The farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful panoramic views of the mountains. The garden is completely private and not overlooked. This offers an ideal retreat for those travellers who prefer a tranquil holiday away from the hectic coastal resorts.

There is heating in the winter months and the house is perfect for children.

Outside
Outside the farmhouse you can sit and relax by the pool and enjoy the panoramic views or sit underneath the shaded areas away from the hot summer sun. There is a large landscaped garden with a purpose-built brick barbecue. Also provided is a sheltered gazebo in which there is a table and chairs seating 6. The gazebo is fully netted to protect yourself from mosquitoes and flies so is perfect to eat in or relax at night star gazing. The swimming pool is 9m x 4m with Roman steps and the garden and pool are exclusively for your private use.

Coast/Beach
It is a 35 minute drive to the beaches of Mojacar, Vera and Garrucha. If you prefer quiet unspoilt beaches you should drive to Agua Amarga, San Jose and the beach of the dead all within 1 hours drive away. The old town of Mojacar is well worth a visit with the narrow pebbled streets and typically white Andalucian houses. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from in both Garrucha and Mojacar.

Golf
There are four golf courses all within 40 minutes drive. Cortijo Grande is a popular golf course amongst the local residents.

Travel
Travelling by car is easy and the main road from Albox runs close at hand in either direction to Baza and Granada, and Almeria. To the north of Baza there are beautiful lakes and green forests. Other day trips include mini-hollywood, the Sorbas Caves, Vera waterslide park and the Alhambra palace (Granada).

Distances
The nearest town of Albox is 10 minutes drive away and the nearest village 5 minutes drive away. There are several other small towns including Taberno, Cantoria and Antas. Nijar a famous, quaint, historical, pottery town and is one hours drive away. You really must spend a day at Lake Negratin, just north of Baza. The views are beautiful, the water is a wonderful turquoise colour and there are 34 kms of shoreline.

All essentials can be found in the town of Albox, 10 minutes drive away including a 24 hour emergency centre. There are a wide range of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area.

Granada 2 and a quarter hours drive.
Cheap flights with Ryanair, Easyjet, Flymonarch, Thompsonfly, Excelairways, Jet2, Flybe.

August 2010 Paul Kate Jenny Henry Louis....Fab time here, great weatherr and loved the pool. Lake Negratin is beautiful but ask Linda for directions. The beach in San Juan is great, no shade so take umbrella. Mini Hollywood is a great day out but expensive (adults 13yrs+) New Dehli in Albox is a lovely Indian. 10E for 4 course meal on Tuesdays..Big Thank you to Linda for an amazing holiday and lovely cakes and to Perro the dog.
