Comfortable, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom family villa with private pool, mature garden. The property is in a quiet location overlooking the village of Begur and affords beautiful panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. Walking distance to the village is approx 12/15 mins downhill - coming back up is a little longer but it is a pretty walk. I have been told regularly by renters that my garden is very well kept and that the photos do not do justice to the wonderful 180 degree views of mountains and Med that you have from the villa. They are truly gorgeous!

Changeover day
Preferably Saturdays. Departure mornings, arrivals late afternoon. Agency has keys to villa and is available to answer questions and help out in any way.

Notes on accommodation
The house has been rented on several occasions to families with small children. They have all enjoyed their stay. It is a friendly, comfortable villa, more like a home than a rental property, and has plenty of lovely walks just outside the front door!
The house has a large garage for your own use and the swimming pool has steps across the whole width of the pool in the shallow end. This is good area for small children to play in.
Outside
The swimming pool is private and is cleaned twice a week. It is 8 mtrs x 4 mtrs and has steps the width of the pool at the shallow end. There are outside loungers for the pool and tables and chairs for outside dining.
Coast/Beach
There are several beautiful beaches within a 10/15 min drive from Begur. All are pictoresque and most have restaurants and bars along the front. Pals beach is the largest and great for children.
A small bus from Begur runs frequently during the summer taking visitors down to the beach of Sa Riera. Other beaches nearby are Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Llafranc, Calella and Aiguablava.
Golf
There are 3 very good golf courses within a 15 min drive from the house. The oldest one is the Pals Golf Club near the Playa de Pals; followed by the Golf Ampurdan (on the way to Torroella) and Golf Les Serres. They are all located in the surrounding area of the village of Pals. There are also 2 more courses within a 45 min drive. One is near Girona and another is near the city of Figueres. There is another course near the town of Playa d"Aro a 20 min drive from Begur.
Skiing
Skiing in Andorra is a 3 1/2 hr drive away. There are also a couple of Spanish ski slopes a couple of hours from Begur.
Travel
The airport at Girona is a 45 min drive. Barcelona's airport El Prat is an hour and a half away by car. Cheap car hire can be booked from both airports through low cost airlines.
Distances
The busy shopping town of Palafrugell with it's daily fruit and veg market is 10 mins by car from Begur. The capital of the province is the city of Girona which is 40 mins away and is well worth a visit. Figueres and the Dali museum is also 40 mins from Begur. Barcelona can be reached by bus, car or train from the station of Flaca (1/2 hr drive from Begur) and is a wonderful city.
Further details
The village of Begur has plenty of little shops and a supermarket for daily purchases, banks, bakeries and a post office. It has good restaurants and in the summer there is plenty of activity down in the main square in the evenings.
Other activities include scuba diving in Estartit, walking, mountain bikes, horseback riding or small craft aeroplane flights and lessons.

30% non refundable deposit on booking. 300 euro refundable deposit against breakages. Final booking amount to be paid 1 month before rental period.

Hi Anne, Just to let you know we had a wonderful holiday at your villa in Begur. The views from the terrace really are spectacular, also from the lounge. We like to do a bit of cooking so it was great to find a kitchen that had every bit of equipment you could possibly wish for.We had driven through this part of the Costa Brava some time ago but didn’t have the time to explore it more fully, having now done so will definitely return as it has some of the best coastal scenery, prettiest villages and best restaurants we have come across in many years of holidays in Spain .Our friends also felt the same and whilst we have never been back to any other villas we have hired we would all be happy to return to Altura Brava (Casa Anna) again. July 2010.
