At a glance
The South facing villa, with surrounding private tropical gardens and infinity pool, is situated on the side of a mountain with uninterrupted panoramic views of the sea and mountains from every room. It is within walking distance of the historic town of Almunecar and beaches, (approx. 1 kilometre to beach from villa!) however, remember the villa is situated 60m up on a hill overlooking the sea and the town is at sea level. See the map for exact position. The accommodation is in the lower floor of the villa and comprises two double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. A kitchen and sitting/dining room complete the accommodation. There is plenty of parking space available . The upper floor contains the owners personal possessions and will be closed and unoccupied.

Important notes on accommodation
Please be aware that the property may not be suitable for very young children. To have the maximum panoramic views, the walls and rails are low/open. The pool can be heated. If you are intending to rent the property and wish to use this facility please request this. There is a minimum stay of about 2 weeks when using the pool heating and as the heater is an electric heat pump there will be an increase in the use of electricity to heat the pool to 25 degrees will probably cost an extra Euros 50 per week depending on the outside temperature. However, it is nice to swim in warm water out of the July/August period.

Notes on prices
To confirm your booking we require Euros 100 or £85. The balance of the cost for the total rent must be paid 2 calendar months prior to arrival. For rentals of 3 weeks or more, we are prepared to have the balance paid in two instalments: 50% two months in advance and the other 50% of the balance one month in advance of arrival. A security deposit of Euros 200 must be paid to our property manager on arrival. This will be returned to you within one week of your departure following a check of the house. We accept that accidents do happen and will be sympathetic in our approach to any charges. Electricity is not included in the price. We will charge the rate which is charged to us by the supply company Sevillana currently Euros 0.10. Readings of the electricity meter will be done with you present. This charge may be paid to the property manager. The average charge for electricity is between 12 and 20 Euros per week (excluding heating of pool)
Payment may be made either via bank transfer (preferred) or £Sterling cheque if a UK bank account is held. Payments can be made by credit card but will be subject to a charge of 2.5%. If you wish to pay this way please ask.

Location Information: Almunecar is the principle town on the Costa Tropical. This relatively unknown stretch of Spain's southern coastline belongs to the Granada Province of Andalucia. It lies between the more populous Costa Del Sol to the West and Almeria to the East. The Costa Tropical has a special geography and climate unlike any other coastline in southern Spain. Rugged hills thrust up steeply from valley floors or plunge into the sea. Almunecar and its handsome Moorish castle sit on a hill between two rivers. Beaches, restaurants, watersport activities, together with sports as diverse as paragliding and horse riding are to be found within easy reach. Cultural activities including Jazz festivals and art exhibitions are staged at various times of the year. Granada with its World Heritage Alhambra Palace lies about an hour's drive away, Cordoba and Sevilla with their historic monuments about three hours drive.

"Great location, super holiday"
We are two adults and have two children. Usually we go to the Marbella part of Spain but wanted something different. This property more than met our needs. The house was as described in the advert, the owners were always helpful and answered any questions we had. The lady who looks after the property lives near the village and could direct us to all the best places to visit. The private pool was just like the photograph. It was clean and the water lovely and warm. Nights spent around the pool were enchanting. The gardens are very private. Our children loved the nearby waterpark and we all went to visit the attractions that Almunecar offers. We spent two weeks in the house, we wished it had been longer.

Wir haben immer HomeAway für unsere Urlaube genutzt und sie waren ausgezeichnet. Diese Villa in Almunecar, Spanien war perfekt für unsere Familie. Wir buchten früh, weil wir gesehen haben, dass die Villa sehr beliebt war. Wir wurden von einer wunderbaren Dame empfangen, die uns alles erklärte und uns Ratschläge zu Restaurants gab. Das Haus war schön ausgestattet mit jeglichen modernen Geräten, einschließlich eines Geschirrspülers. Es gibt einen separaten Raum für die Waschmaschine. Der Pool war sauber und die Aussicht war fantastisch. Unsere Kinder genossen den nahegelegenen Wasserpark. Das Dorf ist schön und die einheimischen Spanier hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Diese Villa wird sehr empfohlen.

"Fantastic house, pool, views and gardens"
This was our first time in Almunecar. We could not have choosen a better house. The infinity pool is amazing, the gardens secluded and the house had everything we wanted. We loved the village and eat at many of the small restaurants. Even saw dolphins from the terrace of the house.

We decided to try Almunecar after some friends had visited the village. We found Les Mirages on HomeAway. This is a fantastic location on a hill overlooking the sea. The villa has been extensively renovated and provides excellent accommodation for up to five people. All the facilities you want are there. The villa is set in private gardens and the infinity pool look super. We could have asked for it to be heated but decided that the outside air was a little too cold. Thoroughly recommended.
