Our privately owned apartment is on a peaceful complex with a large swimming pool and a separate children's pool sitting amongst lovely gardens with sunbeds provided. There is also a children's adventure playground at the far end of the pool. An indoor pool and a small fitness suite and jacuzzi are very close by. Pueblo Laguna is essentially a tranquil area that has retained it's Andalucian feel. Within walking distance, there are numerous bars and restaurants to suit all tastes, ample shops and supermarkets for your daily provisions. A further range of shops, bars and restaurants can be found all along this coastline and there are daily markets held in the local villages. The area is particulary suited to families and couples looking for a peaceful holiday in an area that still feels like Spain!

All bed linen and towels are provided. Beds are made up on arrival. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for the second week of a 2 week stay at a cost of 25 Euros payable directly to apartment manager. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is on the ground floor with it's own private garden area and furnished terrace. The complex has no through traffic so is ideal for children. It also has the benefit of 2 bathrooms so can easily accommodate 2 couples or families.

Outside
The terrace leads out from the lounge and is furnished with table and chairs. There are also sunbeds provided for use in the garden.
Coast/Beach
The award winning local beach is very wide and sandy and is just a short stroll away. The beach is never crowded, even in the height of summer. Showers are on hand on the beach, as are many beach bars for a well deserved spot of lunch or a cool beer.
Golf
There are numerous golf courses within a 10 minute drive of the apartment. Marina Golf is in Mojacar, with both sea and stunning mountain views. Valle del Este has been built surrounded by mountains and has some lovely lakes and grounds to enjoy. Desert Springs, Europe's first desert style golf course, is a must - even for those who don't play golf. A pathway leads up to the golf course through orange and lemon groves. When you reach the top, you see the fabulous life size statues of horses and rockeries with waterfalls creating a beautiful sight. The club house is open to all and is absolutely luxurious - worth a visit even if you are not golfers!
Skiing
Just 2 hours away, close to Granada, brings you to the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Skiing is available right through to Easter and there are many hotels and guest houses. You really can ski in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon!
Travel
The nearest airport is Almeria - about 40 minutes away. You may also fly to Murcia - about 1 hour or Alicante - about 2 hours - both are very easy and lovely drives. Car hire is recommended as there are so many areas waiting to be discovered, but it is not essential. There is an excellent bus service from just next to the complex.
Distances
There are several villages close by. At the beach, stroll along the promenade to Garrucha (about 20 minutes). This typically Spanish fishing village has some of the best fish restaurants in Spain. You can also travel to Garrucha by car (about 5 minutes) and then continue towards Mojacar Playa. This area has a multitude of shops, bars and restaurants. Turn away from the coast and head for Mojacar Pueblo, a white-washed village built into the mountains - spectacular views!
Further details
There are many local supermarkets within a few minutes walk, as well as a chemist and many banks. All the local towns and villages have market days - well worth a visit. There is an Aqua Park just 5 minutes away, go-karting, water-sports at the new Vera Beach club, horse-riding, cycling, tennis, microlite flights and boat/fishing trips.
Booking notes
Please contact me to confirm availability. Once a booking has been confirmed, I will send a letter and a booking form. A £100 per week deposit is requested with return of the booking form. The balance is paid in full 8 weeks before departure.

About the owner
We first visited this area on a family holiday in 2000 and fell in love with the place - so much so that we returned the following year and bought our own apartment. We now spend as many holidays there as we can and rent it out to other holidaymakers at other times. Our children are now grown up and return there with their friends - it is really an area that will appeal to couples, families and friends - but not for people looking for a boisterous commercialised holiday. We hope you will enjoy this lovely unspoilt area of Spain as much as we do.
