Casa de Jose is a beautifully restored Spanish house in a quiet village. It is only about 30 minutes to the Mediterranean coast (about 40 to the resort of Mojacar), 10 minutes from the town of Albox and half a mile from the nearest bar/restaurant. It has views down over orange groves in the valley or up over the almond and olive trees in the hills. The house is spacious and well equipped.

Changeover day
We can be flexible about changeover day (depending on existing bookings). Access is from 5pm on the first day booked to 10 am on the last day.

| Bedrooms: | Upstairs: 1 king, 1 double and 1 twin. Downstairs: 1 double. All bedrooms are equipped with bedside cabinets, lamps, wardrobes and fans. Master bedroom has second Sky box and TV. |
| Bathrooms: | 1 full en-suite upstairs (a large room with twin sinks, bath with shower over and wc) and a large family shower room downstairs with large shower, sink and wc. |
| Kitchen: | Large modern English style kitchen diner. Fully equipped with dining table + chairs, oven, hob, cooker hood, microwave, integral fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster plus plenty of crockery etc. |

Notes on accommodation
Casa de Jose is a fully modernised, rustic style Spanish house which is designed to be cool in summer and warm in winter. The house has central heating for the coldest months and fans in all rooms for the hottest ones. All windows have mosquito netting.
Outside
There is a private 8x4m private pool (retiled in May 2009) maintained by a pool company, various terraces on 3 sides of the house, garden areas with flowers and fruit trees, a netted gazebo for outdoor dining and plenty of garden furniture. There is a carport plus additional parking space for 3 more vehicles.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches are about 30 minutes away at Vera or Garrucha. The resort of Mojacar is about 40 minutes. See our website for links to tourist information sites in the local area.
Travel
A car is essential for this holiday but are cheap to hire and available at all the airports. Almeria Airport: Transfer time about 1 hour. Alicante Airport: Transfer time about 2 hours. Murcia Airport: Transfer time about 1:45 hours. Budget airlines use these airports (Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, Monarch, BMI Baby).

Distances
The house is situated half a mile from the nearest bar/restaurant and several others are within a 5-10 minute drive.
The resort of Mojacar (about 40 minutes) has a wide range of restaurants and facilities for water sports etc.
Further details
Casa de Jose is ideal for people who wish to experience the peace and quiet of the "real" Spain away from the busy resorts. It may appeal to people who like walking (details of local walks in the house guide)or bird watching (plenty of unusual species to be seen) as well as those who simply wish to relax by the pool.
Day trips are possible to Granada (2 hours), Almeria (1 hour), Mini Hollywood film set etc.

Availability can be found on this site but please check by e-mail before booking. Booking conditions and a booking form will be emailed to you. To secure a booking we require a signed booking form and £100 deposit. The full rental fee needs to be paid 1 month before the holiday. The £100 key/damage deposit is normally refunded after the holiday.
