Perfectly positioned on the road between Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc, both unspoilt Spanish resorts, the house is only 5 and 10 minutes walk to the sea fronts and wonderful restaurants, respectively. The house is in a block of five within a small community of only 10 houses, set in attractive well maintained gardens to the front and rear. There is a large shared swimming pool with diving board, and a safe shallow end. The ground floor terrace, which is south facing, overlooks the garden and pool and offers a partial view to the sea beyond. On the terrace is a built in BBQ and folding sun canopy. The house has 4 bedrooms, sleeping 6, plus a large sun room at the top of the house which contains two single sofa beds. There is gas fired central heating for winter use plus a beautiful log fire in the lounge. There is an underground car park with one space available for the house, but street parking can be found outside on Avde. Joan Pericot.

Outside
There are beautifully kept gardens within the community with a large shared pool, with diving board and safe shallow end. An outdoor shower is provided near the pool. There is also a substantial hard court area for ball sports and table tennis as well as basket ball hoops.

Coast/Beach
Catalonia has one of the most scenic stretches of the Mediterranean coastlines with rocky pine covered headlands descending into beautiful beaches and coves. Our house is between Calella and Llafranc villages situated in their own sheltered bays, both with lovely sandy beaches ideal for swimming and snorkelling. 20 minutes drive will take you to other fine beaches such as Aiguablava or busier resorts to the south such as Palamos and Playa d'Aro.

Golf
There are a number of good golf courses in the area, many within a 20 minute drive, such as Pals, Emporda,Serres de Pals Girona,Club de Golf Costa Brava and Mas Nou where if necessary one can hire equipment.

Special interest holidays
The area is noted for coastal diving and close by are several natural areas reknowned for bird watching.

Travel
Girona, Barcelona and Perpignan are the nearest airports and are 1hr, 1hr 30mins, and 1hr 30mins respectively by car to the house. Should you wish to drive from Calais : Non stop takes around 13hrs.

Distances
The nearest main town is Palafrugell aproximately 2km from the house. A typically Spanish town, it has a central square with lovely shops restaurants and a daily market.
Interesting Roman ruins can be found at the picturesque towns of Pals and Empuries (20 & 40 mins respectively), and 1hrs drive is Figures, home to the famous Dali museum.
Barcelona is 1hr 30min drive, but there is a frequent and cheap train service from either Flaca or Girona into the city centre which is recommended.

Further details
For children there is a great water park at Playa d'Aro, and closer to home crazy golf and go-carting areas plus our great pool at the house. Tennis courts, horse riding, boat trips, sub-aqua and other water sports are all within close proximity for the more active.
