The apartment overlooks the marina and the picturesque fishing village. It has a shared swimming pool and parking with a lift to the apartment. Next to the marina is a range of shops, bars and restaurants serving Spanish, French and British food and drink. The beach is a five minute walk away with a vast expanse of golden sand stretching for miles. Even in the height of summer the beach is never overcrowded. There is a beach bar with good food and live music, water sports, showers and childrens play areas. The sea is shallow and safe for children. A five minute walk takes you to the fishing village where there are some excellent fish restaurants. Just 5 minutes in the car is the elegant town of Ayamonte situated on the River Guadiana with views and ferry to Portugal. The apartment is just 45 minutes by car from Faro airport, served by Easyjet and charter airlines. The historic city of Seville & its airport (Ryanair) is 1.5 hours away.

Prices shown are for the property per week in UK pounds. Payment can also be accepted in Euros or NZ dollars, please contact us for current rates. A mid stay clean and linen change is included for lets of 2 weeks or more. Additional cleans can be arranged for a small extra charge.
Please note: a supplement of £25 per week is charged for 5 or 6 person occupancy to cover extra laundry costs.
Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. The apartment is available from 3.30pm on day of arrival and we ask you to leave the apartment by 10.30am on day of departure but you can use the pool until you are ready to leave.

Notes on accommodation
Please note there is strictly no smoking in the apartment (smoking is permitted on the terrace).
A heater is provided for out of season lets. The apartment faces North West so remains comfortably cool even in the middle of summer.
There is a large ceiling fan in each bedroom and a portable fan for the lounge.
Accessibility
There is level access into the apartment complex. Lift access to all floors. There is a small step into the apartment (about 3 cm) and a bigger step out to the terrace.
Outside
Good sized shared swimming pool with sun beds, showers and toilets. There is a small garden by the pool.
Coast/Beach
The lovely beach is just a short (5 mins) walk from the apartment. It is long and deep with soft golden sand. The sea is shallow and safe for children. There is a bar/restaurant, showers and umbrellas/loungers for hire. Even in the high season it is never overcrowded. Pedalos, wind surfing etc are available. There are many other excellent beaches within a short drive, including the main Isla Canela beach (5 mins by car) and the beaches of the Eastern Algarve in Portugal (30 mins by car).
Golf
There are a number of golf courses in the locality with more being constructed. The nearest is situated on Isla Canela itself just 2 km from the apartment. According to its website: 'The golf course has 18 holes, the ground being characterised by gentle slopes formed by dunes and a beautiful countryside with olive, orange and eucalyptus trees. The design of the holes combines precision, strength and dexterity in their proper proportions. There are also some excellent golf courses just across the border in the Algarve (Portugal) the nearest being at Castro Marim (15 mins by car). The property agency on the corner opposite the rear entrance to the apartment complex can help you choose from the various options available and can also arrange bookings.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro in Portugal (45 mins). Other possibilities are Seville (90 mins) or Jerez (2 1/2 hrs). Car hire is recommended. Try EconomyCarRentals.com - good value with full insurance. You need insurance for both Spain and Portugal. If you choose not to hire a car you will find everything you need within walking distance and we can arrange transfers to/from Faro. There are regular buses to Ayamonte as well as tours to Seville, Donana Natural Park, river trips, etc.

30 mins. Faro (old town, cathedral, shops e.g. Algarve Centre) 45 minutes. Huelva (provincial capital, bull ring, Carrefour, El Corte Ingles department store) 45 minutes. Donana Nature Reserve 1 hour. Seville 90 minutes. Jerez (visit a sherry bodega) 2 1/2 hours.
Further details
Good selection of shops and restaurants / bars by the marina. (3 mins walk). Our 'corner shop' just along from the back entrance (1 min) sells a good range of groceries and drinks as well as souvenirs, toys and beach things. Open 7 days till midnight in high season - perfect if arriving on a late flight. There's a range of bigger supermarkets in Ayamonte. Super Sol (on the way into town) has underground parking. Mercadona (just as you head out of Ayamonte towards the motorway) has a large outside car park. Supermarkets open till 10pm. There is a cash point in the marina shopping centre (3 mins walk). The nearest banks are on the road into Ayamonte (parking outside) 5 min drive.
Booking notes
All bookings require £100 deposit. Full payment 8 weeks before arrival. Damage deposit refunded after your stay. Minimum let is normally 1 week but shorter stays may be possible subject to availability. We are happy to accept payment in UK pounds or euros. Please contact us for current euro prices.
