La Cuadra (The Stable). The Cottage, formerly a stable, has been lovingly restored to provide comfortable and rustic accommodation with Air conditioning and offers far-reaching views towards the local mountains and the Sierra Nevada beyond. The surrounding countryside is covered with tracks, making it an ideal spot for those who enjoy country walks. Finca ‘La Cuadra’ is a must for nature lovers. It is located in a beautiful part of the Andalucian countryside, which is covered with a large variety of wild flowers and herbs, including Lavender, Thyme and Sage and makes it a natural habitat for Partridge. La Cuadra consists of 17.000 square metres of rural land and the Cottage is in a fenced area of about 3.000sqm, which contains some mature Olive trees and a variety of young fruit trees, e.g. Orange, lemons and avocados. The property is totally self-contained with own gates and parking area. The Cottage and its surroundings is ideal for a great family holiday.

Changeover day
On a Saturday From May 31 to September 20. The days can be flexible in other months. Arrivals are after 4pm and departures before 10am.

A free and generous food pack is supplied for your arrival. This consists of: fresh milk, fresh orange juice, water, coffee, tea bags, sugar, bread, margarine, jam or marmalade, cereal, mixed fruit, beer, lemonade, jar of olives, bottle white wine and a bottle red.

Outside
There is a terrace with a pergola (Honeysucle and Jasmin), table, 4 chairs with cushions and a BBQ. This is where you can spend some time reading, having a meal or simply enjoying the scenery. For those long hot summer days, you have your own 8x4m private swimming pool with Roman steps (Depth from 1.2m to 1.6m) The pool is fenced all round. Even so children should be supervised at all times. The pool is fitted with night lights. Two sun-loungers and 2 reclining lounge chairs all with cushions are provided for relaxation. There are several large olive trees for sitting in the shade as well as other areas around the cottage.
Coast/Beach
The Coast & Beach is a 35-minutes drive.
Golf
For the golfer there are many courses to choose from. The local ones are ALHAURING GOLF, which was designed by Severiano Ballesteros and is 15 minutes by car.
Also LAURO GOLF, which is about 20 minutes.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada is about a 2 hours 30 minutes drive.

Distances
The Cottage is in a rural spot, along an unmade country lane (dirt track) yet only 1km away from the local by-pass, which takes you into Coin in 5 minutes. Marbella in about 15 minutes and Malaga Airport in about 30 minutes. You will need a car, which will also give you the opportunity to see the area. The famous white villages are not far away and are worth exploring.
Further details
The nearest towns are Coin and Ahaurin-El-Grande, which are about 5 and 10 minutes drive. Both towns have lots of Supermarkets, Shops, Banks and also an Open-Air Market once a week. This area is also well known for mountain walks, cycling, or horse riding with stables that cater for the beginner and the professional.
Booking notes
50% deposit of the total rental is payable on booking (non-refundable).
The balance is payable in cash-sterling on arrival at the property.
A 200 euros or £150 security deposit against damages will also be taken on arrival in cash (refundable).
Deposits are via Bank transfer.
We also offer deposit payment by Credit Card/PayPal.
This is subject to a surcharge of 4.0%, which equates to the amount we are charged for accepting such payment.

Dear Joe and Jan. We just wanted to write and say what a lovely place Finca La Cuadra is, and what a wonderful week we had there. As we told you, we have rented many villas in Spain over the years, but without doubt La Cuadra is the nicest one we have ever stayed in. Not only is it a beautiful villa, but the pool, gardens and views are all perfect. And we needn't have brought half the things we did with us, it was all provided! You were incredibly generous with the welcome pack - it was enough to last us the whole week! We really can't find fault with the place, and you were both very kind and helpful. We will often imagine ourselves sitting by the pool looking out over the mountains, as we drag ourselves into work in the rush-hour. We look forward to our next visit! Debbie and Glenn Marshall.
