Our 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom fully air conditioned villa, with optional 2 en suite bedroom poolside annexe, has a huge lounge, separate dining room, great new kitchen, Freeview 42 inch HD flat screen TV and free Wifi Internet Broadband. With a kidney-shaped endless swimming pool, whirlpool baths and fabulous gardens it provides the perfect home away from home for 2 to 12 people. It is surrounded by vineyards to provide a completely private luxury holiday destination.

The two optional poolside en suite double bed annexe rooms are GBP140.00 per room per week.

Special discount for groups in Low Season - 2 people £480.00 or 4 people £600.00 and 6 people £720.

Last minute booking reduced rates - enquire direct. Long term rentals please enquire direct - rates negotiable. We also do short term breaks on request.

Changeover day
Normal changeover day is Saturday (departing at 10am, arriving at 4pm), though we are very happy to be flexible if bookings allow. Also during the quiet season we can offer short breaks.

Bedrooms: In the villa, there are 3 good sized double bedrooms (1 en suite with huge round jacuzzi bath and private balcony), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds plus a cot for small children.

In the poolside annexe, there are 2 more luxury en suite bedrooms.
Bathrooms: The main bathroom, with large round hydrotherapy bath can be either en suite to the main bedroom or shared, there's also a brand new power shower room and downstairs is the general family bathroom.

Both large Jacuzzi baths in the annexe are en suite.
Kitchen: A large, fully equipped and modern kitchen, with ceramic hob, 2 ovens, 2 fridges, microwave, dishwasher, extractor hood, twin sinks, masses of storage space and direct access from the garage. All cooking utensils for entertaining - like home from home.
Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer.
Living Rooms: There is a very large family living room, with 5 sofas, Freeview 42 inch Flat HD Screen TV Satellite TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi CD/cassette player.
Other: Next to the living room is the large L-shaped dining room with large old Spanish Pine dining table and and Olive wood chairs.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen and house towels are provided but not beach towels. They are changed weekly when the house is cleaned after every booking. We can offer an optional cleaning service as an additional extra if required. Please see our website for more details.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms are fully air-conditioned with hot and cold air for all year round comfort. Ground floor is Spanish Tile and upstairs is all Spanish Marble.

Outside
The very private, fully fenced and landscaped gardens feature large lawns, hosts of fruit and nut trees, wonderful views over the Plain of Antequera to the Snowy Mountains of Granada, an illuminated Pergola and more wildlife than we can say. There is also a barbecue for outdoor dining.

The 8 metre by 5 metre kidney-shaped pool is from 1.4 metres to 1.8 metres deep, with Roman steps for easy access, a separate diving platform and is surrounded by a very sunny patio with masses of recliners and tables. Also we have a new gas barbecue

Coast/Beach
We are just 25 miles north of Malaga, so all the hectic tourist destinations of the Costa Del Sol are within an easy drive.

Golf
Antequera has recently joined the Golf circuit, with the first 18 hole championship standard course completed in 2005 by the Hotel Antequera Golf and 3 more championship standard courses are on the way.

All the famous coastal golf courses, such as Sotogrande, are within an easy drive.

Skiing
The Snowy Mountains of Granada (the Sierra Nevada) can be seen in the distance and are less than an hour's drive away.

Many locals love to spend the mornings skiing in the mountains and the afternoons lazing on the beach!

Special interest holidays
This is a great place for a group of artists or photographers.
For sports people, there are lots of places to walk or run.
If you a Go Karting specialist - we are near Campillos Go Karting track.
Climbing, painting, cross country, running.

Travel
The nearest international airports are Malaga and Granada, both about 45 minutes drive. The drive from Granada is particularly beautiful...

There is also Seville airport about one hour away.

Car hire is essential unless you do not intend to leave the property during your stay!

Distances
We are located between the beautiful ancient city of Antequera (which is about 10 minutes away) and the wine-making white village of Mollina about a mile up the road.

Antequera is the natural crossroads of the region with the historic cities of Cordoba, Granada and Seville all within an hour's easy drive.

Further details
Antequera has all the usual attractions of any major county town; from shopping centres, bars and restaurants to museums and historical artefacts.

Other attractions include the stunning El Torcal National Park, The Wolf Park, where you can actually howl with the wolves, and the 5000 year old ancient burial dolmens.

A deposit of 25% is payable on booking, with the balance and a damage/security deposit of £250 pounds payable 8 weeks before your arrival.

About the owner
In 2001 we quit the London rat race and our careers in travel and music, sold up and ran away to Spain for a change of pace and some adventure. We bought what was a rundown 19th Century traditional Spanish farmhouse or cortijo and spent the next two years painstakingly pouring our hopes and dreams into making the perfect modern traditional Spanish farmhouse. We gradually transformed it into an Andalucian dream home with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (including a stunning large round hydrotherapy bath), a large modern kitchen, a huge living room and an enormous dining room. There is also a 2 en suite bedroom annexe by the pool. With wifi, air con and beautiful private gardens, it has everything we ever wanted. We are back in England now for family reasons but still love visiting!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
When we moved to Spain, we considered living on the coast but really wanted a taste of the real Spain. After a lot of research, both online and in person, we chose to live in Antequera. It is a beautiful medieval city of about 60,000 people and offers a great mixture of traditional and modern Spanish culture in a very friendly and peaceful area. It also has all the requirements of the modern world such as broadband, great shops (including English food shops) and restaurants. The clincher is that it is literally at the crossroads of Andalucia. The great cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba plus all the hectic beach resorts are all only 30 to 60 minutes drive away and there are three airports you can fly into - Malaga, Granada and Seville.

Unique benefits of the property
Our villa is in a fantastic location It is literally surrounded by grapevines, almond trees and olive groves but the fantastic new motorways to the coast (35 minutes), Granada (45 min), Cordoba (50 minutes) and Seville (60 min) are just 2km away, hidden behind a hill. You can enjoy a taste of the real Spain and visit any of the great tourist attractions so easily, without having to suffer all the noise and chaos that comes with them. On the other hand, With a great kidney shaped pool and an acre of completely private landscaped gardens, many people almost never leave the property. The gardens include a vine covered illuminated pergola, lots of different fruit trees, a tree sun clock that always offers a shady refuge and a hand built hill to overlook the surrounding vine.
