The beautiful villa is south facing and enjoys dawn till dusk sun. It has various court yards with floral gardens and includes areas for sunbathing, dining and relaxation. The main courtyard includes a large rustic built barbecue (with built in sink and preparation area). On long summer evenings it is a joy to have alfresco dining. Directly outside the villas main patio doors lies a large swimming pool with ample space for the many sunbeds provided. The chalet, which is set in its own private courtyard has sunbeds and dining area.

| Living Rooms: | In the villa the living room is fully furnished. It has a TV with full Sky coverage, also wi-fi connection. There is air-conditioning and a log fire. The doors lead to a covered patio and overlooks the swimming pool and beautiful views of the valley. |

The villa has a homely feel about it and has all the comforts that you would expect in your own home.
Accessibility
Casa de la Colina is on the main road to Alcaucin. It has its own private drive.
Outside
In the main court yard there is a large table, parasol with 8 chairs, outside barbecue, electricity for music, court yard lighting and 6 sun beds. In the chalet court yard there is a small table with parasol, two chairs and 2 sunbeds.There is a fountain and courtyard gardens. The swimming pool measures 8 by 4 metres surrounded by a patio and a large lawn.There is also a roof terrace with spectacular views'. Both courtyards enjoy their own privacy.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is 20-25 minutes away in the resort town of Torre del Mar.
There are many chiringuitos (fish seafood restaurants) along the beach.
Nerja is a particular popular destination with it's own beach and famous caves.Caletta has a fishing port,marina and beach.It has excellent restaurants overlooking the sea.
Golf
The Costa del sol is renowned for it's golf courses to suit the beginner and the more experienced. The closest course is Baveria golf course approximately 30 minutes east and Anoreta is 35 minutes to the west. There are also courses at Antequera, Granada and the Costa del Sol golf coast to the west of Malaga.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada is just 2 hours away and boasts the best conditions in Europe.
Special interest holidays
For people who have an interest in horse riding there is an established riding school within walking distance. It is ideal for walkers,bird and nature lovers.There is fishing on Lake Vinuela'. For those interested in Spanish culture the cities of Seville,Granada,Cordoba, Jerez, Cadiz and Malaga are all within 2-2.5 hours driving distance.For those who wish to enjoy duty free shopping and a little bit of England can visit Gibraltar.
Travel
Malagaairport is 45 minutes drive away and it is advised to hire a car. A taxi costs 65euros.
Distances
Alcaucin local village 2 minutes by car. Lake Vinuela 5 minutes. Velez Malaga 15 minutes. El-Ingenio shopping mall with supermarket, designer shops and boutiques etc 20 minutes.
Further details
You will find many tapas bars and restaurants, butchers and bakeries along with banks and supermarkets in surrounding villages and towns, all within a 5 minute drive. For the more energetic, Mount Maroma can be scaled by various routes. The area around the villa is fantastic for walking, photography, painting and fishing in Lake Vinuela. There are many wild flowers in June-the National park boasting at least 12 varieties of wild orchid.
Booking notes
A none refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental charge is required with your booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before commencing of rental along with a refundable security/breakages deposit of £200 which will be returnable to you 7 days after departure after the villa has been checked.

We are a retired couple who have lived in this property for 11 years and would like to share the beauties of rural Spain and particularly the white village of Alcaucin and surrounding areas.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
When we retired we accidentally came across the area and fell in love with it.We bought the villa when it was nearly completed and have loved it here ever since.The village has a butchers,2 grocery shops,a chemist,library,4 bars and restaurants,an old church and a typical Andalucian town hall.If you want to chill out there is no need to travel afar.
Unique benefits of the property
This property is off the main road to Alcaucin and has its own road,thus making it very private and secluded yet within walking distance of the village.The views across the valley to Lake Vinuela are stunning.The only sounds that can be heard are the cockerals,sheep and horses from the neighbour,s farm below.
