Casa Pino is a large comfortable villa on its own plot and acquired by the present owners in 2009. Extensive modernisation and renovation has been carried out to a high standard. Conveniently located just 60 minutes from Malaga and 45 minutes from Granada, Salobrena is the perfect position to enjoy a wonderful holiday on Spain's undiscovered Costa Tropical and surrounding hills. With four large bedrooms and spacious accommodation, it can easily cater for up to 8 people in comfort. A large terrace area provides ample space and shade for eating out or just soaking up the sun beside the 8 metre private pool. Whilst not overlooked, the villa enjoys extensive views of the Sierra mountains and Mediterranean.

Kitchen: Fully fitted modern open plan kitchen, featuring Miele equipment and including dual gas and electric hob, 2 electric ovens, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, coffee maker, wine cooler and toaster.
Utility Room: Iron and ironing board. 2 High chairs. Child's buggy. Storage space. Games and book library. Also available is a Play Station II/ DVD player with some games (please exercise parental control) and bring your own favourites.
Living Rooms: Well equipped south facing living/dining room with seating for 8. Comfortably furnished with large flat screen satellite TV, DVD/CD player with selection of DVDs, iPod docking station, Wifi and 2 efficient, remote controlled ceiling fans.
Other: Living room provides direct access through patio doors to secure gated upper dining terrace and balcony which extends around half of the villa with superb views of sea and mountains. Outside steps lead from here to lower secure gated pool terrace.

Notes on accommodation
Each bedroom is equipped with efficient ceiling fans. With 2 similar variable speed ceiling fans in the living/dining room. All windows and patio doors are fitted with fly screens. Accommodation is on 2 levels, with kitchen, large living/dining room, en-suite double bedroom, cloakroom, balcony and upper terrace on the higher level. The upper terrace area is gated and suitable for young children to be supervised. On the lower level is the entrance door and hall, 3 en-suite bedrooms (2 with direct access to the pool terrace), utility room/area and staircase leading to upper floor. Central heating and/or pool heating is available for a supplement. Please note: strictly no-smoking inside the villa.

Accessibility
A car is strongly recommended and a discount on car hire can be obtained through the owner. Contact owner for information.

Outside
Upstairs, the living/dining room gives out on to a large, partially covered wrap around terrace with magnificent views of the sea and mountains. There is a shaded area with dining table and chairs served directly from the kitchen. From here a gate gives access to steps leading down to the pool terrace. On the lower level, the two master bedrooms have direct access to the large, partially covered pool terrace with separate poolside toilet. Around the pool, extensive views of the Sierras to the north and Mediterranean to the south form an impressive background to the castle of Salobrena, perched above the town below. The private pool, measuring 8 metres by 4 metres has comfortable sunbeds with cushions and there is another large poolside dining table and chairs for alfresco dining. An Outdoor Chef Gas Barbeque is provided.

Coast/Beach
There are a number of local beaches within easy driving of the villa. The nearest, which can be seen from the villa. (less than 10 minutes drive) is the one mile long beach in Salobrena itself with it's many local seafood restaurants. Close by is the smaller fisherman's beach at La Caleta. The larger towns of Motril and Almuñecar have beaches which are within 20 minutes drive. La Herradura resort with its seafront restaurants is not far and in between there are other smaller bays to explore.

Golf
Los Moriscos golf course (Motril) 10 min drive.
Granada golf courses 45 min drive.
Malaga golf courses 45 min drive.

Skiing
The Sol y Nieve Sierra Nevada Ski resort is situated at approx 1h 15min drive from the villa. Skiing season from December till April. 70 km of wonderful slopes.

Special interest holidays
A local sports complex offers basketball, football and other activities. The urbanisation has its own tennis courts. This facility is solely for the use of Monte residents and their guests. Walkers will find plenty of walks; the tourist office will provide pamphlets for many of these. We have left a couple of our favourite in the house book for you to try.

Malaga Airport 1h drive.
Almeria Airport 1h 15min drive.
Granada Airport 45 minutes drive.
The use of a car is strongly recommended.

Salobreña 4km.
Almuñecar 12km.

Further details
Salobrena has a good selection of supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants and is only 7 minutes drive from the house. More choice is at hand in the busy towns of Almunecar and Motril with the historic and acclaimed city of Granada and world famous Alhambra Palace less than an hour away on the new autoroute.

Booking notes
30% booking deposit upon booking. the balance payable no later than 6 weeks before start of rental (or upon booking when after this date). 350 euros refundable security deposit to be paid jointly with the balance payment.

About the owner
Stewart and Sue Pamment first came to Salobrena in 2006 and immediately fell in love with the place. After several further visits, staying on the Monte de los Almendros, we decided that this is where we wanted to spend our time in the future once we retired from work in the UK. We were looking for a suitable villa to purchase and Casa Pino fitted the bill. We agreed a sale in 2009 and spent the rest of the year bringing the house up to the standard we wanted. During the winter of 20010/11 we have further improved the villa and pool, as well as replanting the garden area. We use the house for ourselves and family whenever we can and are happy to welcome guests to share our experience when we are not there. Every time we return, the sea and mountain views never fail to impress.
