Changeover day
We try to be flexible with changeover days to allow for cheaper mid week flights.
Changeover times: arrive at 4.00pm and depart at 10am. Should the villa be free on the day of arrival/departure, we will allow you to stay for a longer time.

This is a non smoking property.
Accessibility
The villa is situated in a quiet hamlet of approx twenty others and is remote so a car is a necessity. In saying that it is 15 minutes from the coast and ten minutes from major supermarkets and shopping centres. Apart from the gravel drive it is suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
Large patio on two sides of the villa with alfresco dining under the veranda with large table which sits ten comfortably, 8m x 4m raised swimming pool with gate for child protection, built in barbecue area and below fruit trees including oranges, lemons, pomegranates, blue figs etc.
Coast/Beach
15 minutes drive to Santiago de la Ribera, a popular sandy beach with shallow water, safe for small children.
15 minutes drive to Los Alcazares, with long sandy beaches and watersports
These are both on the Mar Menor (salt water lagoon) but there are also beaches nearby on the Mediterranean Sea.
Lo Pagan, famous for its healing mud therapy, is 15 minutes drive also.
Golf
Roda, Peraleja Golf, Hacienda Riquelme, La Serena, La Torre, Campamor and La Manga are all within twenty minutes drive.
Travel
San Javier (Murcia) airport is 15 minutes drive.
Alicante airport is 50 minutes drive.
A car is essential for this property.

San Javier for shopping centre, banks and supermarkets 7 miles, 11km.
Cartagena and Murcia cities for sightseeing, culture & more shopping 25m, 40km.

Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking the remainder being due eight (8) weeks prior to your holiday commencing. A £300 returnable damage deposit will be required upon arrival which will be returned upon your leaving if no damages. This can be paid by personal cheque if preferred.

About the owner
We reside in the UK, I am retired and my wife works. We totally refurbished the property from top to bottom in every way thinkable.
We spend most of our holidays in Spain and actually own the Villa next door, so we may well meet up!
We love this area as it has the most temperate climate in Spain and whilst we are in a quiet secluded spot we are only 15 mins from the Mar Menor and beaches of Santiago de la Ribera, Lo Pagan and Los Alcazarres. A Shopping Mall is 10 mins away.
The area is teaming with golf courses and attractions both new and historical, or you can just relax a while and read, by your own private pool.
A car is essential by the way!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We purchased the property in 2000 as we spent every weekend for some two years, touring Spain for an idle, which we found here in the Costa Calida region of Spain.
It is fifteen minutes from Murcia airport and 45 minutes from Alicante airport and the road network is second to none.
The area is known as the garden of Spain and every morning as you look out of the windows you will see testament to this with oranges lemons, melons, peppers and fruit and vegetables of all kinds in abundance on your doorstep.
We are fifteen minutes form the Mar Menor, twenty minutes from La Torre which is on the Med and some thirty minutes from La Manga.
Unique benefits of the property
The Villa is secluded but easily accessible by the excellent road network.
Facilities such as shops etc are within a ten minute drive where there is a large shopping Mall, yet in every town there are an abundance of supermarkets, even English ones for those of you who dont want to stray too far off the norm.
Local restaurants such as Patio II for lamb chops and meat on the stone, Rosalinds for the best steak ever both situated in and just of the main square in Los Alcazarres. Rebate in the hills, about a thirty minute drive is the most picturesque place to have a meal and Lilly's in La Torre where Earnst will give you a very warm welcome and more food than you are able to eat.
There are many other excellent restaurants, too many sadly to be able to try the all.
