La Alberca is a development set in the mountains just 20 mins from Benidorm. The villa is detached, has off road parking, roof terrace, patio and use of quiet almost adjacent communal pool. There is an excellent choice of restaurants within 10 minutes drive. The popular resort of Benidorm with its blue flags beaches, extensive nightlife and all the amenities of a busy town is just 20 mins away. For those seeking a more quiet holiday Albir and Altea can also be reached in 20 minutes with a good choice restaurants on the sea front and in the town centre. Visitors with children will appreciate the closeness of Terra Mitica theme park and Terra Natura water park. Alternatively the Fonts d'Algar near Callosa d'en Sarria are just 25 minutes drive where you can swim in the clear waters of the cascades and picnic under the shade of the trees.
The popular hilltop town of Guadalest is another local attraction.

Changeover day
Arrivals and Departures can be flexible . It all depends upon the next booking . If they coincide on the same day, the property has to be vacated by 11:00am. After thorough cleaning the property will be ready for the new guests at 2.00pm.

Notes on accommodation
The property is air-conditioned, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. With the swimming pool so close, and the excellent facilities all within very short drive, this villa makes a perfect holiday base for couples or families
Outside
To the front of the property there is a raised covered porch with table and chairs for relaxed eating/drinking any time of the day. At the back , there is direct access from the kitchen, to a secluded garden with paved patio and great views of the mountains. There is a large table that sits 6 with sun umbrella and a gas BBQ. Two sun loungers are kept in the outside store. The shared swimming pool is just one house away.
Coast/Beach
There are various beaches that can be reached witin 20 minute drive. They range from the smaller, quieter beaches at Albir and Villa Joyosa to the large busy ones of Benidorm.
Travel
The nearest airport is Alicante, which is 40 mins away. One can also fly into Valencia and Murcia airport, both of which are around 90/100 mins drive.
A car is essential to make the best use of this villa.
Distances
The towns of Alfaz, La Nucia and Polop can all be reached within10 mins drive. Albir, Altea, Benidorm are just 15/20 mins away. The Fonts del L'Algar, a series of crystal clear cascades and falls, excellent for swimming and bathing are just 20/25 mins drive. Terra Mitica theme park provides thrills for all the family within 15 mins drive.
Further details
Several supermakets are within 5 mins drive although there is also a small bakery and bar within walking distance. In addition there are numerous shops, banks, local markets, bars, etc. Local restaurants range from simple pizzeries and tapas bars to fine dining destinations. The local bakery about 5 minutes walk down the street also serves drinks and some snacks.

£100 deposit (non-refundable) is required to confirm your booking. Balance is payable by 4 weeks prior to your arrival. A security of £100 is requested with the payment of your balance of rental and this will be refunded on checkout from the property.

My name is Paulo, working and living in London.
My partner and I bought this villa in 2004 as somewhere for us and our families to escape the sometimes dull British climate for the sun of the Costa Blanca.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
My partner and I were on holiday visiting friends who live on this development near La Nucia, one of whom was an estate agent. We were asked to come with him to view this property just out of curiosity. After seeing the house and its surroundings, we loved the layout of the house and almost on the spot made an offer to the owner that was accepted. It was probably the most impulsive decision we have ever made but we have no regrets as the house and the area have given us and our family and guests many enjoyable holidays.
Unique benefits of the property
The scenery, its proximity to all the sites, the tranquility and the sense of space. The house is tastely decorated and is well equipped. Apart from having friends and family enjoying their holidays there, we've had a number of paying guests who always give us feedback on an excellent holiday. Some guests have been returning regularly nearly every year since 2004.
