This large terraced styled house, recently built in a quiet Spanish style community, offers high quality accommodation close to the picturesque harbour. The ground floor boasts a large, fully equipped kitchen which opens onto a private terrace overlooking the harbour. The living/dining room has patio doors opening onto a large private, secured garden with
terrace and grassed area. The apartment is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful coastline of L'Escala. Follow the spectacular coastal walk from Montgo bay all the way past the Greco/Roman site of Empuries to the Medieval village of Sant Marti. With full central heating and air conditioning. the house is perfect for summer or winter. You can be completely private or enjoy the use of the 3 swimming pools in the beautiful communal garden. We meet all our guest's personally and take them to the property no matter what time of arrival. Guest's will receive a welcome pack, which includes wine tea & coffee.

Secure for children of all ages We can also provide a stair gate. Arriving late!! Let us do your shopping for you. Tell us what you require & it will be waiting for you. The apartment has separate air-conditioning and central heating for up-stairs and down-stairs. The back garden provides privacy and security and there are sun-loungers. There is parking outside the property should you decide not to use the private underground parking. The apartment also has a good variety of books and a hairdryer.

Nearest Blue Flag beach less than 5 mins walk. Blue Flag beach of Empuries less than 10 mins by car. You can use the road train which travels all day between Montgo and Sant Marti and stops near to the house. Every thing is accessable by foot or road train.
Golf
Several first class golf courses within 45 mins drive. Two 18 hole par three courses 25 mins drive.
Skiing
Various ski resorts about 2 hours away.

Airports:
Girona 40 mins by car.
Barcelona 1 hour 45 mins.
Perpignon 1 hour.
Distances
L'Escala is close to Figueres, with its Dali Museum and a good variety of shops, approx. 25 mins by car, Girona with its beautiful Cathederal and Jewish Quarter is approx. 40 mins and Barcelona is better accessed by train, which are inexpensive, clean and reliable, for a day trip.

Owner profile
About the owner
After coming to L'Escala for many years on holiday and falling in love with the people and the area, I took the plunge and moved here in 2002. I live in a beautiful spot near the ruins of Empuries with my 17 year old son and 2 dogs. I have been in the hospitality business for many years, having owned a pub in England amongst other ventures. I now speak fairly good Spanish, a must if you live here, and feel very much at home with the locals. I own 2 properties in L'Escala, which I look after and clean myself, which for me, is important because I am able to maintain a high standard and also I am able to give time to my guests.
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I bought this property in 2005. The main reason for buying it was the style of the apartment, it feels like a spacious 3 bed house and being so close to the harbour, there is plenty to see and do. Having a private garden was a real bonus.
