‘This place is fabulous! The owner, Sylvia, is delightful and very helpful. Villa 'Alta Rosa' is lovely with stunning views. We appreciated the quiet location but enjoyed eating out at Gaucin's good restaurants, as well as visits further afield. The running of the bull on Easter Sunday was a highlight though not quite the spectator sport we imagined! Though English is widely spoken I would make the effort to learn some Spanish before the next visit as the locals are very friendly’
‘We stayed at Rosa Alta Villa the last week of a two month stay in Spain. It was a great way to end our trip. The tranquility at the villa was soothing and restful. The only sounds were the donkey occasionally and the sheep. It feels very remote, but it is easy to get to town when necessary. We walked in several times during our stay. The lights of the town are mesmerizing at night. April is a perfect time to be here, with the wildflowers in full’ - Helen Marshall, Harrogate, England
