Situated on a quiet road of widely spaced detached villas with easy parking, Casa Verica offers you privacy, your own pool and outstanding views over the Bay of Roses. Accommodation includes 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, UK television/radio, luxury BBQ and modern well equipped kitchen. The nearby village has shops and some excellent restaurants. There is easy access to miles of beaches, supermarkets, restaurants of all kinds and a host of activities (eg, scuba-diving, bird watching,go-carting,water-skiing,golf,mountain walks, sky-diving...) all within 10-20 minutes drive. The Dali museum is 25 min; France and Girona 30-35 min and Barcelona within 2 hours. If this sounds too exhausting you can just chill out on the large terrace and watch the sun go down behind the mountains!

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Hire of linen if required 12 euros per person. Cleaning costs should be added to the above prices at 130 euros. Deposit of 50% required upon booking. Remaining 50% plus linen hire (if required) plus cleaning all due 4 weeks (28 days) before arrival. 500 Euro Damage Deposit payable with final payment, returned within 28 days of departure. Midweek rentals, weekends only or less than 7 nights also available outside of July/August.

Changeover is always on a Saturday.

2 proper single divan beds can be made up in the living room.

Kitchen: 4 Ring Electric hob with extractor hood, Electric grill and oven,refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine etc.
Utility Room: Washing machine.
Living Rooms: Living room; dining table & 8 comfortable chairs, Large settee, John Lewis sofa (converts into two proper single divan beds), leather chair with foot-stool, Cofee table,Satellite TV (UK channels + radio), dvd/cd/video + several films, hi-fi, books, games.
Other: There is a lovely arched garden room at one end of the terrace for shade and outdoor eating (Wooden teak table and seating for 10). The large BBQ is sheltered at the back of the garden room and has its own chimney. Pool at lower level with terrace.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels, bedlinen,tea towels provided at an extra charge. Clients are expected to bring own beach towels. House cleaned between rentals. Additional cleanng provided within the rental period if required at an extra charge.

Notes on accommodation
The air-conditioned bedrooms provide a cool place to relax in the heat of the day and a cool bedroom when you retire at night - features that will really help you to enjoy your holiday. There is also central heating and a log stove for the off-season.

Cot and high-chair can be provided as long as we have notice.

Outside
Large upper terrace with six chairs, low wood table, a rocking chair and two loungers. Arched garden room at one end of upper terrace providing welcome shade. Built-in BBQ with table for ten. Lower swimming pool terrace with ballustrading and six further loungers. Private swimming pool, eight by four metres with steps at shallow end and about 1.8 m at the deep end. Car parking on drive or on quiet street outside the villa

Coast/Beach
There is over a mile of sandy beach between Roses and St.Marguerita which is 8-10 minutes by car. This is suitable for children as it slopes gently with no rocks. Miles and miles of other beaches, rocky headlands and secluded coves can be reached in 20-60 minutes.

Golf
As a golfing destination, the Costa Brava is second to none. It has been voted the World's best emerging area for the sport. Peralada Golf Club, a PGA qualifying course, is only 20 minutes away by car. There are five other major courses withing an hour of the villa, including the PGA de Catalunya course (voted one of the top ten courses in Europe by Golf World magazine), Toremirona Golf Club (25 mins drive) and Emporda Golf Club (25 mins drive).

Skiing
The ski season is from around 20th December till 20th April. Ski resorts accessible from Casa Verica are:
1. Setcasas; Valter 2000, under 2 hours drive.
2. La Molina-Masella, aprox. 2h 30min.(much larger resort)
3. Font Romeo, in France, 2h 30min.
4. Andorra, 4 hours.

Travel
Airports: Barcelona-2 hours by road, Girona 45 minutes by road , Perpignan 50 minutes by road. A car is essential and there is an excellent local hire company that will bring a car to the airport and meet you personally (details available).

Distances
Palau Saverdera 5-8 min walk (unlit path) or 3 min drive.
Driving: Roses 4km; Figueres 15km; Empuriabrava 7km; Cadaques 15km. Barcelona, 90min; Andorra, 2h+; Empuries, 30m. Train: Barcelona, 1h20m.

Further details
Our village of Palau Saverdera has several shops and restaurants. Easy access by car to several supermarkets, banks, post office, boutiques and many restaurants. We have compiled a book of maps and information about the many local activities and places of interest for all ages.Tours arranged locally to Barcelona, etc, boating trips around Bay of Roses, including one on a glass bottomed boat, 2 minutes drive to Go Karts and Water Park. For the more adventurous Sky Diving is available from the airport at Empuriabrava. This is an exceptional area for a wonderful holiday.

Booking notes
Deposit of 50% is required at reservation. The remainder (including cost of cleaning and linen) is due in full 4 weeks (28 day) before arrival. A breakages deposit of 500 Euros will be requested with final payment, which will be refunded in 28 days after departure. No pets accepted
