14 Calle de Iglesia has three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is furnished in traditional Moorish style with great charm and originality. The ground floor is open plan, with a good-sized, well equipped kitchen, a dining area and a large open fire with sofas and comfortable seating. The lower terrace opens into a large orange and lemon grove with two shady eating areas. There are two further roof terraces with views over the village, valley and mountains. This historic area was used by the Caliphate in Granada to grow vegetables and fruit. The Moors built numerous water channels to bring snow melt down from the Sierra Nevada to irrigate the fields of olives, citrus fruit, avocado and almond trees. These many channels still irrigate the local fields. The house is also well stocked with information about the area.

This is a much-loved family holiday house that we have owned for 25 years. It has been carefully renovated and regularly restored and updated. We particularly enjoy the traditional Spanish and Moorish culture and atmosphere of the area. We hope and believe that others will find it as interesting and appealing as we all do.
