Within half an hour of the beach, or the snowcapped mountains, our charming traditional house in this pleasant traditional Spanish village is a joy. With 3 bedrooms plus dinning room with spare bed , a mirador (covered terrace) and a sunny patio on the roof, this house is in the quiet part of the village, and you can walk among the orange and lemon groves and along the side of mountain streams with their pure water and see eagles and mountain deer, while the magical city of Granada is only a short drive away. Your only problem staying here is how to fit everything there is to enjoy and relish into only 1 or 2 weeks. Our house is comfortable and fully fitted to ensure you have such a wonderful time that you will, as we do, come back year after year, as each season of the year has its own particular beauties and charm. November 2006 has seen a total refurbishment to cope with the popularity of this house and location.

Notes on prices
Prices are for up to 6 people, book for 2 or more weeks and get 20% off {not Easter}. We also welcome short breaks at £50 per night (not including weekends and with a minimum of 2 nights). We also offer discounts for single people or couples out of the main tourist period. Sadly this year we are having to ask for £125 refundable deposit which is returned within 7 days of your departure, you will also need to pay the cleaner 50 euros, this covers sheets, duvets, fuel, and full cleaning.We also wo
Changeover day
We are flexible and can work with you on this to maximise your ability to make use of cheap flight offers (eg. Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays).Granada and Malaga Airports are not to far away, fuel costs are half what we pay in the UK.

We have a cleaner and a cook, should you wish to have the odd meal in the comfort of this charming Village House.The house has towels and summer and winter duvets, curtains and side lamps, we are tried to give more, so your comfort insures your return. |
Notes on accommodation
The house has parking to the front, as well as a village car park close by. For heating, the house has full central heating via new rads this year, oil filled rads as well as a real log fire in the reception. We also have ample winter and summer duvets, blankets, curtains, etc.
The house is also cool in summer and warm in winter, as in Spain houses have smaller windows to keep out the very hot heat, that you can get in Winter.
Accessibility
This house is more like an English Cottage, we have a steep stair to the roof terrace, but there is lots of wonderful places around the village to take in the sun, The Reception room has a single foldaway bed, so you would only need to go up one flight of stairs to the bathroom, in Summer the Roof terrace could act as extra bedroom.
Outside
Sunny roof patio. The village has also many great places to sit, drink, eat and enjoy the breathtaking views. The village also has a green village garden which is open to the public. And a wonderful Barbeque Area with stunning views over the valley.
Coast/Beach
Plenty of beaches within half hour drive.Wonderful walks lead from the Village, Granada is just a local Bus trip away. The Beaches are many with some quiet hidden coves, full directions given upon your booking.Padul a nearby village also has a family Water park.
Golf
A major new 25 hole Golf course and Spa that offers great value, St Clair has just opened less than 1/2 hour from the House.
Skiing
A 1/2 hour drive away to great skiing,December to April. Very popular with the Spanish. Also great snow boarding, and walking. Even without snow this is a trully stunning place to come all year. You are so high up you feel you are looking out of a plain window. Snow boards and ski hire is affordable and hot chocolate is great.
This House is also very popular for just Couples.
Special interest holidays
Birdwatching, fishing, golf, walking, painting, cooking, water, Snow boarding sports, or just relaxing over fine food and a great bottle of wine, this area has so much. Once you book, we will send you full list of ideas and whats on so you can plan and get the most out of your stay in this beautiful place. You are very central from here to really discover Spain and even to drive across to Africa.
Travel
BA, Monarch and Ryan Air all offer cheap flights into Malaga and Granada. There is a very good bus service from airport to Granada at 3 euros, you can then get a bus direct to Niguelas at 2 euros. The village has 3 buses a day, full details in house. Expedia is best for car hire, we suggest you book mini car, as they will then always give you an upgrade.
Distances
Granada is only 20 mins away, whilst Durcal is only 5mins. with a real Spanish Market every Wednesday, this area is great to explore the region with Andulusia at your door step.
Further details
The village, Niguelas, is very well provided for as regards shops, and bars etc. There is a chemist, a bank,Tapas Bars and a Quality Converted Water Mill, which acts as Coffee Shop, Tapas Bar and Restaurant, with a pool for customers use. a tobacconist and several bakers and traditional food shops. There is also a baker and a fresh fish shop just around the corner from the house. The small village market is on Mondays. There is a large market in the nearby town of Durcal every Wednesday morning.
There is a good local bus service twice a day into Granada, the town or Durcal is a 20 min walk, the mountain and valley walks here are wonderful, and our village even has its own hobbit homes.
Booking notes
We ask for 1 weeks rent as deposit, this is returned to your bank account within 7 days of your departure. We charge 50 euros which must be left in the house to cover gas, heating electric and cleaning as well as the sheets and duvets etc.Please note sheets are only put in the house for the number of clients on booking form. extra sheets and beds will incur extra cost, please enquire with your booking.
