Our luxurious air-conditioned 3 double bedroomed villa is part of a beautifully landscaped community in the prestigious Dona Pepa II area of Ciudad Quesada. This town is well established and has palm lined avenues, wide roundabouts and various individual commercial centres providing every facility needed; supermarkets, bars, restaurants, shops, doctors and dentists. Quesada is surrounded by championship golf courses, has its own Aquapark and is just 10 minutes from many beautiful sandy beaches. The impressive swimming pool is just 20 paces from the back garden and is for the private use of the small gated community of Elena. The balconies of both upstairs bedrooms afford views of either the pool or across to the beautiful scenery of the national park and the lakes. The house is equipped with all mod cons, WiFi, UK satellite television and DVD player, stereo/CD/cassette player, iPod, air-conditioning in both upstairs bedrooms and lounge and ceiling fans in all the rooms.

Changeover day
The villa is usually let on a weekly basis. As flights are cheaper mid-week we endeavour to meet individual requirements. If other guests are arriving on your day of departure we may require you to leave by 11.00am. We will also consider shorter stays.

Notes on accommodation
This property is well suited for families as the front and back garden are secure - there are gates to both entrances and the community is gated. We can provide, via a professional and efficient specialist rental company, any baby or child equipment eg cots, seats, stairgates, sterilizers for a small fee payable on arrival - see website. There is also a child pool attached to the main pool.
Accessibility
This is not ideal for wheelchair users as there are half-a-dozen steps up to the front of the house although there are only three steps at the back. However, there is a groundfloor twin bedroom and groundfloor WC and shower room (see villa plans on our website - link below).
Outside
There is a small shaled front garden and a rear tiled back patio, tables, chairs and sun loungers for 6 people and a brick built barbeque provided. There is a large shared pool within 20 yards of the back gate with a separate childs pool; this can be seen from the house and back patio.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches of Guardamar and Torrevieja are no more than a 10 minute drive away. This part of the Costa Blanca benefits from many glorious beaches of fine sand and warm water such as Guardamar, and the area also has a number of small and quiet bays with transparent water such as Campoamor and Cabo Roig. Most beaches have been awarded “blue flag” status, reflecting their superb quality and offer facilities such as bars, restaurants, children's climbing frames and volleyball nets.
Golf
There are many outstanding golf courses in the area including Royal Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villa Martin where they have, in the past, held the Spanish Open. La Finca which opened in 2000 as well as La Marquesa which is part of the Ciudad Quesada town. La Manga Club, albeit some 50 minutes drive, is well worth a visit as there are 3 courses to choose from.
Travel
Alicante airport is a 30 minute drive away and Murcia (San Javier) is no more than 40 minutes. Car hire is not essential as we can organise transfers however it is recommended if you would like to travel anywhere outside Quesada.
Distances
The nearest coastal towns of Guardamar and Torrevieja are 10 minutes drive away and as Quesada is located very near the main coastal highway towns like Alicante, Orihuela, Elche, Murcia, Cartagena and La Manga are all easily accessible within 30-45 minutes.
Further details
There is a buzzing high street in Quesada which provides everything that you may require from restaurants and take aways, bars, shops and there are three smaller commercial centres within 5/10 mins walking distance from the villa offering large supermarkets, other restaurants and bars, boutique shops, dentists, hairdressers and doctors. All the surrounding towns have markets on different days of the week which are well worth investigating. The climate and the excellent blue flag beaches provide a variety of water sports from wind surfing, kite surfing, water skiing, scuba diving. Paragliding and kitesurfing are also very popular with a couple of centres located to the north of Torrevieja at Santa Pola. There are also some horse riding centres nearby which also offer other pursuits like karting, archery and off roading. There are some Aquaparks, one in Quesada, one in Torrevieja and the well known Terramitica in Benidorm, 50 minutes drive North.
Booking notes
All bookings can be done on-line or by telephone or a combination of both. We require a 25% deposit on booking and the balance and a damage/key deposit are due 8 weeks before departure. The guests will be met by our housekeeper who will require €50 on arrival for the cleaning at the end of your stay. There will be complimentary tea/coffee/sugar, milk, water, bread and jam for you.

About the owner
Ruth and Dave live in Norfolk, England with their beautiful cocker spaniel, Freddie. We run an electrical manufacturing business but get to Spain as often as we can. We find that we can immediately relax and 'wind down' and take great pleasure in the close proximity of restaurants, bars, shops and wonderful beaches. Our community is very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful pool.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
This part of Spain has the most beautiful coast line with miles of blue flag, unspoilt beaches with golden sand. It also has hills and mountains in land which are steeped in history and castles. The close proximity of Alicante and Murcia airports make travel to the house easy (30-40 mins). The Spanish people are incredibly friendly and inviting and always eager to please. It is a place of contrast; buzzing tourist areas and quiet peaceful authentic Spanish areas off the beaten track. For the more adventurous there are many things to appeal; aquaparks, horseriding, karting, kite surfing, sailing, ballooning, kayaking to name a few. There is something for everyone. The World Health Organisation has also named the climate in Costa Blanca as the healthiest in Europe.
Unique benefits of the property
Our house is situated in the beautiful landscaped town of Quesada which has been designed with peace and tranquility in mind. There are wide avenues and palm trees; a thriving High Street and many commercial areas providing many choices for eating and drinking as well as well stocked supermarkets, some that deliver to the house in the summer months. Within a 10 minute walk you can access all these areas. There is also a luxury hotel, Hotel La laguna, which has a health Spa, and a golf Course, La Marquesa, with many other championship golf courses within 15 mins drive.
