Bedroom 1 has a four piece ensuite (bath with shower, toilet, sink). Bedroom two has a three piece ensuite (shower, toilet, sink). Main floor WC with toilet and sink.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and pantry with washing machine.
Large, light airy living room, flat screen TV with cable, DVD player, VCR player, CD player/radio, router for direct internet connection, and WIFI, central heating, air conditioning. Step up to separate dining area.
Dining room has a window with screen as well as patio doors to a sunny south facing terrace (expanded in 2012), sea views, patio furniture, and stairs to the lower enclosed garden complete with a large covered area, sun loungers and barbeque.
Bed linens and towels are provided and changed weekly. Beach towels not provided but may be hired. Additional maid service may be arranged.

Casa Nova has a charming private, enclosed tiled garden with sun loungers and barbeque, and two additional south facing terraces with patio furniture. Our villa is set in the heart of El Capistrano Village which has renowned gardens and beautifully landscaped swimming pools (including children's pools) with pool bars, as well as a supermarket, restaurant and village pub.
Important notes on accommodation
In the winter of 2013, we expanded the master bedroom, with new doors to the terrace and a window with screen. We also replaced the master bathroom, and improved the twin room ensuite, we created a covered seating area in the lower garden, installed new curtains throughout and a computer desk. In the winter of 2012, we expanded and rebuilt the main terrace, including a new staricase to the lower garden and new patio doors, as well as a window with stained glass and screen. As well, we improved the bathrooms and upgraded much of the furniture, with new bedroom furniture (including a king-sized bed in th emain bedroom), new dining room furniture, a breakfast table in the kitchen, and decorative art work.

The changeover day is normally Saturday, but we can be flexible if other bookings permit. Arrival time is normally 4:00 pm, and checkout time is normally 10:00 a.m., but late check-outs may be arranged if other bookings permit.
20% deposit payable at time of booking, with the balance due four weeks before arrival. A damage deposit of 100 euros or pounds to be paid on arrival, with refunds on departure (this deposit also covers the standard 20 euro deposit for the swimming pool pass).

Less than an hour from Malaga's international airport.
10 minute walk to downtown Nerja (or short bus ride) Five minute drive (or bus ride) to the Nerja caves, village of Maro and white village of Frigiliana. Numerous daily buses to Malaga.

About the Owner
We are Canadians and we live in a heritage home we have restored in the town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Atlantic in Nova Scotia. We have been escaping the Canadian winters for the past five years, staying in El Capistrano in Nerja. After renting different properties, it was a wonderful opportunity to buy this Villa, which we named Casa Nova. As we live in Canada from the spring until the early winter, we are happy to make Casa Nova available to others who are visiting this beautiful part of the Costa del Sol. Fortunately, we have friends and tennis partners, Lorraine Blunden and Noelle Murphy, who both have villas in El Capistrano, and help take care of Casa Nova -- and our guests -- on our behalf. Why this location?
We love El Capistrano because it is perfectly located -- by the mountains, the sea, and the town of Nerja, which is an easy drive from Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, Malaga and all the other fabulous places of Andalucia. We first visited El Capistrano over 25 years ago, and were struck then by the beauty of the design of the urbanization and the gardens and pool areas, which are exceptional. We love to play tennis (and the courts are a stone's throw away), go for hikes, enjoy the tapas bars and beaches of Nerja, and explore the towns and villages nearby.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Casa Nova is in the heart of El Capistrano Village -- near the shop and pools, parking and tennis. We love the views from the terraces and the privacy of our garden. The living and dining rooms are spacious and airy, and we enjoy two ensuite bathrooms, a dishwasher and main floor washing machine and WC. Central heating is a bonus for us in the winter, as is air conditioning in the summer. We have been upgrading and adding amenities that we ourselves sought when we rented other properties -- internet and WIFI, a safe for your valuables, and new furnishings. This year, we expanded the main terrace, added a new window, patio doors and exterior staircase and updated the guest ensuite and much of the furniture. We aim to add more every year -- please let us know how we could improve Casa Nova!
