Villa Cap De Begur, is a luxury Villa newly constructed and furnished to a very high standard. Designed to take full advantage of its situation overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The accommodation comprises; large open plan living dining area with double french doors to covered terrace and patio, fully fitted kitchen, utilty room and wc. Guest suite with 2 double bedrooms and private bathroom, french doors opening to own covered terrace with access to pool terrace. Upstairs is the master suite with en-suite and dressing room plus another guest suite with bathroom, both have private terraces.

Changeover day is Saturday with check out before 10 a.m and check in after 16.00 (please note there be some flexibility by arrangement).

Living Rooms: Large living/dining area with vaulted ceiling, 2 french doors with access to covered terrace and wonderful views. Dining table seating 8, 2 large leather sofas + 2 chairs, TV with DVD and PS1, stereo system. Open fireplace for cooler winter evenings.
Other: There is a large double garage, which can be used for turning at top of driveway and parking for several cars.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels (not beach towels) are included and changed weekly.
The rental includes a weekly clean, further cleaning can be arranged locally.

 

Notes on accommodation
The property is fully centrally heated for the cooler winter months, in summer there are large fans for all bedrooms which are all that is required with the property location and cooling sea breezes.

Outside
The property is situated in an elevated position above a quiet road with numerous terraces all having wonderful sea views.
The main terrace (sunny all day) has a large (10x4m) swimming pool and covered pergola (for shade) with built in barbeque. There are outside dining table/chairs and sunbeds/loungers for 8+ persons.

Coast/Beach
There are numerous upspoilt beaches and coves to visit. Ranging from small coves, our favourite being Sa Tuna apx a 15 min walk along cliffs, to larger sandy beaches and bays with more facilities such as Aigua Blava, possibly the prettiest and only 5-10 min by car. Sa Riera, a larger sandy bay and very popular with families. Tamariu, Llafranc, Calella, Pals and many more are all close by, within 20 mins.

Golf
Within 40 minutes there are apx 9 top class golf courses! All visitor friendly and at very reasonable prices.
My favourites are;
Playa de Pals and Serres de Pals, just 5 mins away.
Emporda, apx 10 mins away.
PGA Catalunya, near Girona airport, apx 35 mins.

Skiing
In Winter time there is great skiing in the Pyrenees. My favourite being at La Molina, apx 2 1/2 hours or on to Andorra, 3hrs. There is a closer resort at Volter but I have not been.

Travel
By Air; Under 2 hour from UK, there are many cheap "no frills" flights to Gerona (apx 35km) 35 mins, Barcelona (apx 110km) 1 1/2 hrs, Perpignon (apx 90km) 1 hr.
By Car; Begur is 800 miles from Calais (almost all motorway), apx 10-12 hours driving time, with many good stop overs if required.
Use of a car is recommended.

Distances
The house is situated apx 1.5 km from the centre of Begur along a quiet road, and 1.25 km from the pretty bay of Sa Tuna.
Within easy reach there are too many places of interest to name all here, but a few are;
Pals and Peratallada, apx 15 10-15 mins, beautiful restored medieval towns, many good restaurants.
Girona and Figueres, apx 35-45 mins, larger cities good shopping, restaurants etc with Dali museum in Figueres.
Barcelona, by car or train from Flaca, apx 1 1/2 hrs.

Further details
Supermarket, banks, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, chic night clubs, boutiques etc are available in Begur. The town and the surrounding area comes alive in the summer.
Sports facilities include; diving/snorkelling, boating, horse riding, biking, hiking, go-karting, quad-biking, golf, water park etc.

Booking notes
Rental Price is for the villa per week with a maximum occupancy of 8 persons.
Terms are a non refundable deposit of 20% on booking with balance payable 8 weeks before departure.
There is a refundable breakage deposit of £200 payable with final balance that will be refunded (less any breakages) within 14 days of return.
The prices include a weekly clean and linen and towels (not beach towels).
