Summer Winds is located on the exclusive Monte de los Almendros, set in a fifth of an acre at the end of a quiet cul de sac. Ideal for a relaxing holiday by the pool with spectacular views over the Mediterranean and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The old town of Salobrena is just 10 mins away with many shops and restaurants, it's own Moorish Castle at the top of the town and the beach. It is not the place to visit if you are looking for nightclubs - it is an area for relaxation and family holidays with 320 days of sunshine a year. Not too well known by the foreigners (apart from some who live there) but it is very popular with the Spanish, which is a recommendation in itself. Recently the villa was refurbished to a high standard including new furnitures and is well equipped including air con and Wi-Fi network.

Notes on prices
A 20% deposit is due upon booking the property. The balance payment is due 8 weeks before start of the rental, along with a refundable damage deposit of £200 which will be returned after departure and check of the property. For 2009, air-conditioning and heating electricity usage will be charged at cost (0.10 euros per KWh). Changeover day is Saturday but we do try to be flexible, so please ask.

| Bathrooms: | There is a large luxury en suite to master bedroom with doors to the terrace, bath, walk in shower, his and hers basins, all refitted in 2006. There is a fully equipped family bathroom and both of the bathrooms have new anti-slip floor tiles. |
| Kitchen: | The fitted kitchen has marble work surfaces and a full range of appliances. |
| Living Rooms: | The lounge has comfortable leather sofas around a large coffee table and views across the coastline to the port of Motril. There is a dining table which comfortably seats six. |
| Other: | Patio doors lead onto a covered dining terrace with built in BBQ and a dining table for six, it's a great place to eat with wonderful views over the coast, Salobrena and the mountains. We spend most of our time and nearly always eat out here. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
The villa will be cleaned and beds made before you arrive and we provide a welcome pack so that you can have a drink and a snack on arrival. Towels and linen are provided. Extra changes available for a small extra charge. |
Notes on accommodation
The main living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and covered dining terrace are on one level. There are a couple of steps down to access the villa from the road so no flights of steps to carry heavy luggage or shopping up or down into the villa. The third round turret bedroom is up a spiral staircase. The main living area has air conditioning. TV/DVD/CD along with a selection of games are provided in the lounge and there is a Wi-Fi network for use with your laptop. Heating is provided by reverse air con and a wood burner in the main living area (logs provided)as well as thermostatically controlled radiators in each room, the villa is double glazed. No Smoking in the villa. Our poolside apartment is not used when the villa is rented.

Outside
There is a gate and steps down from the main terrace (with new anti-slip tiles)to the pool, poolside terrace and a further gate to the garden, where you can pick oranges, lemons and figs when they are in season. The circular pool is 7m in diameter 9.5m across from the steps and circa 1.5m deep. A terrace surrounds the pool with several sun beds and shaded seating under a covered area. There is an attractive garden at the side of the pool which is laid out with gravel paths and flower beds planted with a variety of Mediterranean flowers and palms.
Coast/Beach
For the more energetic there are lovely hill and coastal/beach walks, watch the local dolphins, cycle through the sugar cane plantation (Europes last), play golf, scuba dive, go sailing, visit the old moorish Alhambra Palace in Granada or the caves at Nerja and much more...You will have use of the community area a couple of minutes drive away with two pools one full size the other for young children, a tennis court and a small football pitch. Cycles are available for hire.
Golf
Los Moriscos golf course beside the beach is just 10 minutes away at Playa Granada, Motril and is open to all comers.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada ski area is 70 minutes away so you really can eat breakfast at the beach and ski during the day. Salobrena is one of the few places in the world where you can see snowy mountains from the beach.
Travel
Malaga airport is 1hour 15 minutes away with flights from most major airports. Easyjet, Flybe and Thompson all have low cost regular flights and car hire is readily available. Ryan air and Monarch air fly into Granada which is closer (50-60 minutes).
Distances
The caves at Nerja (30mins) and the Alhambra Palace (60mins)(Europes most visited historic site) are both well worth a visit but go early and book in advance during peak holiday season as they both get busy. If you enjoy walking there are several walks in the hills directly behind the villa or a little further away the Las Alpujarras hills are renowned for walking, with many traditional white villages and pine forests (30mins).
Further details
Salobrena has a good range of local shops including two good supermarkets and there is a hypermarket 10 minutes away at Motril. Resturants provide everything from traditional Spanish cuisine to Chinese or Indian food, prices range form 8 euros for a three course lunch on the beach to UK prices at the best resturants.
