The owners have just completed major renovation work. They have kept the rustic character of this more than 100 year old Hispano Moorish farm which can comfortably house from 2 to 6 people. The inside decoration reflects the owners love for authenticity and interest in world travels. They have beautifully restored the beams in all rooms, uncovered stone walls and generally decorated with rustic and antique furniture and original paintings. Adequate heating is provided in the winter and there is a open fire in the living room. Fans during the summer are installed in all rooms. The extensive grounds are fully fenced and hve a private parking place as well as an abundance of terraces and landscaped gardens. Games, books, videos are provided. The property is close to 3 villages and 25 min away from Antequera (golf course!). Only 45 min away from Grenada, 1hr 30 from Sevlle, Cordoba, Ronda. Malaga is 35 min away. The villa is close to Grenada and Malaga airports (both 40 mins drive away).

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week in euros. A further fully refundable 100 euros is asked as deposit for possible damages to the property. Negotiable rates are available for long stays.
Changeover day
Bookings normally begin Saturdays 3.30pm to Saturday departure 10.00 am, but can be negotiated. You are responsible for ensuring that you have adequate insurance cover during your stay at Cortijo La Serena.

| Kitchen: | The farmhouse kitchen-dining room is well appointed with as cooker, hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer, espresso machine, cafetiere, toaster and electric kettle. It also features a pine dresser,old pine table, chairs and bench. |
| Living Rooms: | The sitting room is beautifully presented. It has comfortable leather settee and chairs grouped around a fully functioning stone fire place. It also has a small library, in addition to board games, radio, CD player, small selection of CDs, videos and TV. |
| Other: | The ground floor bedroom is decorated in an understated oriental style. The first floor offers a romantic double bedroom with 4 poster bed and a balcony with an amazing view over the grounds and mountains. The large twin bedroom is in Mexican style. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and bedlinen will be provided. Little goody bags can be found in both bathrooms. A maid service is optionally available at extra cost. A welcome pack is provided upon arrival (tea, coffee, wine, bread, tapas, water, juice). |
Notes on accommodation
A welcome pack comprising milk, instant coffee, tea, sugar, bread as well as complementary bottle of red wine will be awaiting you in the kitchen upon arrival.
Bread can be delivered 3 times per week to the property. Heating is provided during the winter months.

Accessibility
The villa is less suitable for people with mobility problems as it has a stair case. The bedroom and bathroom downstairs would be suitable for people with mild mobility problems. The property is accessed by a partially tarmacked road and is only 10 min away from the motorway Malaga to Grenada.
Outside
The holiday cottage offers a large outside terrace, BBQ area, covered alfresco eating area with antique table, benches and chairs, infinity swimming pool (11m x 6m) surrounded by 3 large sun decks, sun loungers provided, large grounds and private parking. Heating is provided during winter months. The private pool is kept running throughout the year but use is weather dependent.
Coast/Beach
The Costa del Sol beaches and coastal resorts/facilities are 40 minutes drive from the property.
Golf
A 9 hole Golf Course is available at Antequera - thirty minutes drive from the property.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada mountains and the Ski Resort is available for experts and novices alike. This can be reached by car in approximately one and a half hours.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding, quad bikes, cycling, walking and exploring are all available locally. Many other activities are available also at the coast which is 40 minutes drive. Skiing in the Sierra Neveda is amper 1h20 away. The villa is centrally located for visits to many historical cities such as Seville, Grenada, Roda, Cordoba, Malaga. Both Grenada and Malaga airports are only 40 min drive away.
Travel
Malaga Airport is 50 kilometers [40 minutes by car]. A car would be required.
Distances
Nearest local villages a 10 minutes drive. Nearest towns and places of interest are 15 minutes - 30 minutes drive.
Further details
Locals shops, restaurants, supermarkets and other facilities are a short 10 minute drive.
The Moroccan tent can be hired for private events. The gardens and patio areas a available for private functions including receptions. Indian head massage, aromatherapy and other holistic treatments are available for booking during your stay.

Confirmation period: 3days
Payment: By bank transfer within 7 days of confirmation.
Special rates for long term stays.
A 25% deposit is required in advance on initial booking and is non-refundable. A refundable security deposit of € 100 is required against damages. Final balance and security deposit is due no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. Final balance is also non-refundable except in extreme circumstances.
