BARGAIN OFFER: 20% reduction on advertised rate, Oct, Nov, Dec 2011 up to Xmas period. Payment can be in Euros but prices shown are for the property per week in £. Discounts available for long-term lets. 10% discount available on second week of 2 week bookings, excluding UK main school holiday dates in April (Easter) , May half-term and July/August. Discount available for 2-week booking over Xmas/New Year period. Discount on late bookings (one month or less before arrival).
Changeover day
Saturday (although this is flexible 'out of season'). Arrival not before 5 pm and departure not later than 10 am unless mutually agreed in advance. (Again, this is flexible wherever possible, but unlikely at busy periods).

Notes on accommodation
Excellent air-conditioning/heating in the three main bedrooms.
The villa has mountainside balconies as it sits on top of a stunning but steep, high hillside. Ample parking. The villa sleeps six comfortably but more than 6 occupants would be inappropriate.
Outside
New, state-of-the-art, chlorine-free swimming pool, (anti-allergic), 8m x 4m, Roman-steps, mosaic tiles and shower. Private, unheated. Poolside loungers and chairs. Large, Moroccan-tiled dining table with sea views. Patios and balconies on 360 degrees to catch (or avoid) the sun in the warmest, and driest, part of mainland Europe.
Coast/Beach
The wide, sandy beaches of Mojacar, Vera and Garrucha are 15-20 minutes drive away. There is an large naturist beach at the northern end of Vera Playa too. Cabo de Gata, and its charming villages of Agua Amarga and the larger, busier San Jose, is 40 minutes away on the M-way or beautiful coastal route. There are many large beaches but also numerous isolated coves, all within thirty minute's drive of the villa.
Golf
Nine hole course at the foot of the mountain range, being upgraded to 18 hole.
Within 20 minutes drive are the lush 18 hole courses of Desert Springs, Valle de Este and Club Marina Golf.
Skiing
Granada and its extensive skiing areas is approximately two and a half hour to three hours drive away.
Special interest holidays
The wonderful Sierra Cabrera mountain range - with its wild boar and wide variety of native and migrating birds - is a relaxing holiday area for walkers. Rambling walks can be started from the house itself.
The nearby Cabo de Gata has extensive cliff-top walks and secluded coves and beaches. Its famous salt-beds are a haven for birds.
Travel
Almeria (55 minutes).
Murcia (1 hour 30 minutes).
Alicante (2 hours) Granada (Two and a half to three hours).
Car hire is essential.
Distances
Turre is 10 minutes drive, Mojacar 15, Vera and Vera Playa (Beach), with its Aqua Park, are 20 minutes away. The mountain village of Nijar, famous for its colourful pottery and rugs, is 30 minutes away. Granada is 2 1/2 to 3 hours. The Tabernas desert - where countless movies have been filmed - and its two Wild West Theme Parks is under an hour away.
Further details
Cabrera Village has an excellent Italian restaurant/bar and an elegant Moroccan/Spanish restaurant too. There is also a friendly tapas bar/restaurant in the daytime. All are within 10 minutes walk downhill from the villa (longer going back up!). Horse-riding and tennis are also available. Turre has banks, multi-language cash-points, supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers and a wide range of bars and restaurants. Mojacar is a fabulous Arab 'white village' and the beaches of Mojacar and Vera Playa have every facility of bustling resorts.
Booking notes
Deposit to secure booking 25% (Non-returnable) Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date. £100 returnable deposit against damages required and £60 cleaning/keyholder call-out . Arrival time not before 5pm, check-out by 10 am on departure, unless mutually agreed in advance. (This can be varied out of high season.) Guests must have their own insurance in place to rely on for every member of their party covering every eventually which might occur during the stay or in connection with travel.
