Notes on accommodation
Villa Dasa has central heating and air-conditioning in the main living area and the two double bedrooms. Available all year. The house and garden are suitable for children. The garden has lawn and decking surround to the pool area and there is a large covered dining terrace off the living room with BBQ. The house is very comfortably furnished and enjoys a very sunny position, with natural shade to be found in the garden.
Accessibility
The main living area and three of the bedrooms at Villa Dasa are on one level making this suitable for wheelchair access. Please note that the drive is steep. Low mid season rates for small groups can be arranged. Please enquire.
Outside
Villa Dasa is approached by a private driveway with parking space for 2 cars. The gardens surround the villa and are established with trees and shrubs providing natural shade. There is a large lawned area and wooden decking surrounding the private swimming pool (7x4m) with dining table, chairs and sunbeds. Steps lead to a covered terrace with dining furniture and bbq which in turn leads to the living-dining room.
Coast/Beach
Sa Riera, Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc, Aiguablava, Tamariu, Sa tuna, Aiguafreida. All charming coastal resorts, most with sandy beaches and waterfront restaurants, cafes and shops.
All within 5 - 15 minutes by car.
Golf
Many good golf clubs in the region including a championship course at Pals, approx. 10 minutes by car.
Skiing
2-3 hours to the nearest ski resort with many other good resorts within 3 hours drive.
Travel
Gerona Airport is the nearest airport - approximately 40 minutes drive. Barcelona airport - approximately 1.5 hours drive. Driving time from Calais is approximately 12 hours. Car hire is highly recommended.
Distances
Begur is just 5 mins by car, approx. 1.5km from the villa. There are many coastal villages and inland medieval villages to visit in this region and a car is essential to fully appreciate this unspoilt region with its many diverse attractions. Dali's museum at Figueres is approx. 45 mins by car and further north is the famous coastal town of Cadaques, a tribute to Dali. Famous for its cuisine, there are many excellent restaurants in the region including a 2 star Michelin restaurant near Girona.

Booking notes
30% deposit on reservation. Balance 2 months prior to holiday. Local agent to meet you at the villa and there to assist you during your holiday should you need any help. All directions/instructions issued prior to holiday. House manual kept at the villa. Smaller Groups - special rates: Up to mid June and from mid September Villa Dasa can be rented at special rates to small groups. Please ask!

About the owner
I have been involved with property for as long as I can remember and when we first visited Begur we thought it a wonderful region and decided to buy a holiday home, Casa Alfora.
We rented it out through a local agent the first year (2001). After that I decided to rent it out myself and since then we have built two more houses and purchased another in Begur all of which are on this site. Gradually I built up a business and we now have our own website featuring property in Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal.
Poros Island, Greece is another favourite destination of ours where we have a house overlooking the harbour and on the mainland, both with amazing views and both of which are featured on this website.
Owners Direct has been a very good vehicle for us to market our holiday homes.
