Casa 10-11, Formerly a bodega, bakery and shoe factory, Casa 10-11 has been lovingly restored and now offers bed and breakfast and/or self catering accommodation. Casa 10-11 is situated in a rural Spanish village just outside the town of Pinoso and here in this peaceful setting you can breakfast under a canopy of grapevines, dine in the open air, or just relax by the pool . But there is plenty to do if you want to explore. The coast and beaches are just 45 mins away and the Spa town of Fortuna with its famous thermal baths is just 25km away and the whole area is surrounded by nature reserves, caves and historic buildings, wonderful for exploring by car, foot or mountain bike. The nearby towns have an abundance of bars, shops and restaurants and of course the area overflows with bodegas where you can sample and buy the locally produced wines.

Notes on prices
Prices are quoted in euros. B&B tariffs are based on 2 sharing and include Continental breakfast. Evening Meals from 20pp. BBQs, lunches and suppers are available from 12 per head. Self catering units do not include gas or electricity and are charged extra at 5 per day and require a security deposit of 250. The East and West wing can be rented together as a whole house for larger groups.
Changeover day
All our bookings are flexible with no set changeover days. Arrival and departure times are also flexible in accordance with your travel plans. We have no minimum stay policy for B&B or self catering except at peak periods and bank holiday.
Notes on accommodation
All B&B guests have access to our cool and tranquil lounge and reading area, perfect for escaping from the heat of the sun and when the cool nights draw in our log burning fires and estufas provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere for watching TV or videos or playing games. Casa 10-11 has a small bar and function room for private parties and weekly events and there is also a pool table for guest use.
All rooms are non smoking but smoking is allowed outside and in the bar and function rooms. Evening meals, BBQ's, suppers and private parties are all catered for, prices available on request. Bed and breakfast rates are based on two persons sharing and self catering rental is available for 6+ in the West Wing. We will accept very well behaved dogs provided they are kept on a lead whilst on the property and not allowed to foul in the house or grounds. Please contact us at time of booking if you wish to bring your pet. A small additional charge will be made for pets.
Accessibility
Unfortunately due to the nature of the house we cannot accept wheelchair clients as some of our doorways and arches are not wide enough to allow access.
We do have a downstairs en-suite double bedroom and the dining and lounge areas are also on the ground floor so it is possible to accept someone with minor mobility problems
Outside
We have 2 magical courtyards and outdoor eating and drinking areas where you can dine outdoors under the setting sun chatting and making new friends, often until very late at night (or early morning). Upstairs we have a huge sunny roof terrace where you can sunbathe in private. The enclosed garden is surrounded by vineyards and has fabulous views of the hills and mountain ranges. The landscaped garden has an abundance of flowers in the summer months and is peaceful and private. The 10x4 pool has a waterfall jacuzzi with surrounding terraces with recliners. The garden cafe and bar can provide refreshing drinks during the day and evening meals and bbqs, parties, quizzes etc at night. Please book in advance where possible
There is plenty of parking on the street or in the drive.
The village is typically Spanish, quiet and sleepy (except at fiesta time) but has small shop and bars and restaurants nearby.
Coast/Beach
Due to the excellent road network, we are only 35 minutes from San Juan at Alicante and Torrevieja's Santa Polo and Guardamar beaches are 45 minutes away. Benidorm is approx 50 minutes, with Aqualandia and Terra Mitica. Trips to the renowned Benidorm Palace can be organised. There are also lots of natural beauty areas close by, with lakes and caves to visit and plenty of castles and historic buildings that reflect on Spains turbulent past.
Golf
The nearest golf course is 20 minutes away at Yecla and the Alena golf course is only 25 min away at Aspe. There are new courses due to open in the area soon.

Whilst we have no special interest weeks organised at the moment, we are in the process of arranging some and dates will be made available as soon as possible. If you are interested in attending or holding courses here in a peaceful and relaxing environment, please contact us.
Travel
Our nearest airport is Alicante, only 35 minutes away and low cost airlines now fly to Murcia, about 90 minutes away.
Car hire is essential to take full advantage of the area and is relatively cheap, around 120 euros per week
The nearest train stations from the airport are Elda and Villena.
Airport pick up can be arranged at an additional cost of 35 per trip.
Distances
Our nearest town is Pinoso,4 kms away and Sax, Elda, Jumilla, Yecla are all within 20 minutes drive. There are many places of interest to visit whilst in the area, Yecla, famous for its furniture factories and shoe making, Aspe with its church and modernist casino, Monovar, with its steep narrow roads and clock tower, Fortuna, a thermal spa town, Jumilla, the wine producing capital of the area, and of course we are surrounded by nature reserves, caves, museums, wonderful churches and much more.
Further details
Pinoso has a sports centre with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, football pitches and tennis courts. There is also a theatre and medical centre in town plus lots of restaurants and bars where you can sample the local food.
The local market is held on Saturdays where fruit, vegetables, clothes etc can be bought. Other markets are held most days in the nearby towns, with some huge markets on Sunday.
There is a thriving English community locally, English food and newspapers are readily available and some local bars hold regular quiz and bingo nights.
Booking notes
25% deposit is required at time of booking. Balance is due 8 weeks prior to travel date. Late bookings to be paid in full at time of booking. We accept payment by cheque or credit card and bank transfer.
