Casa Silvia is a comfortable holiday house, located in one of the typical, narrow streets of the Andalusian white village Gaucin. The Spanish owners have furnished the house (it used to be their family house) in a traditionally rustic style. From the West-facing roof terrace you have excellent views to the Sierra de Libar, a fascinating mountain ridge, part of the Grazalema Nature Park.

Bedrooms: On the first floor, there is a large double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The top floor has a bedroom with a single bed.
Bathrooms: 1 bathroom with bath and WC
Kitchen: The kitchen is at street level and is equiped with all amenities (hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine).
Living Rooms: The living room with dining area is at street level. A comfortable couch and some chairs are grouped around the fireplace.

Bed linen and towels are included, so is cleaning and a change of linen and towels once a week.

 

Notes on accommodation
The fireplace, a gasheater and electric radiators make Casa Silvia also suitable for winter holidays.

Outside
On the top floor, there is a spacious roof terrace, with a table and chairs and four sun-loungers. An ideal place for eating out on long summer nights or for enjoying spectacular sunsets all year round.

Coast/Beach
The Mediterranean, with its many beaches, golf courses and lively marinas is at 1/2 hour drive. The Atlantic Ocean, with its beautiful, unspoilt beaches is a paradise for windsurfers; it takes 1 1/2 hours to get there.

Travel
You will find airports in Gibraltar (1 hour), Málaga (1 1/2 hours), Jerez de la Frontera (2) and Sevilla (2 1/2).
Car hire is highly recommended.

Distances
Ronda is at 40 minutes, Cádiz and Sevilla at 2 1/2 hours, Granada at 3 and Córdoba at 3 1/2.

Gaucín is a beautiful, white-washed mountain village, part of the Serraníade Ronda. It is spectacularly situated on a ridge, 629 meters above sea level and has breath- taking views over the Genal valley to Gibraltar, the Mediterranean and Morocco.
Gaucín is not only beautiful, but also very centrally situated. Nature lovers will find themselves surrounded by nature reserves like the Sierra de Grazalema, Los Alconorcales and the Sierra de las Nieves, wonderful walking area with a lot of wildlife.

A 50 % deposit is required, by cheque or bank transfer, with a balance 4 weeks before the arrival day. Full booking details and directions to the village and the house will be provided after confirmation of the booking.
