Guest comments
"Location, Location, Location! If you want a true Spanish cultural experience, Granada, the Albayzin, and Casa Limonero in particular should be on your list. The location is ideal - steps from the best view of Alhambra and super close to the best bakery in Granada. Also close to small grocery and many cafes and bars. Owners are responsive and gave great referrals to amazing neighbors. One neighbor gave us a fabulous food/cooking/Spanish culture lesson and another great neighbor gave us an amazing flamenco dancing lesson at her flamenco school. Just great people. Convenient buses and wifi from the library just a two minute walk away made everything easy. And it was really cool to stay and really explore a UNESCO World Heritage area."

House swap
House swap considered anywhere, must be suitable for children.

Us!!!!

About the owner
Hi! We are Jonathan and Jo from London and we came to live in Granada about 5 years ago. We love the simple way of life and enjoying playing with our 3 year old, cooking, skiing, reading, going for a tapa and a beer (great thing to do in Granada!!). Jo loves the beach and I love the mountains so Granada was a great compromise. We live very close to the rental property and are always on hand to help with any inquiry.

Year purchased: 2005

Why the owner chose a home in this location
You feel caught up in the varied history as you walk through the cobbled streets of the Albaicin. The high, white walls and abundant flowers and ceramics make this one of the prettiest places to live in Granada; we fell in love with it 10 years ago when we came here on holiday and, 5 years later, we came back to live here for good. It is a village steeped in tradition but with a huge variety of people who live and work here. It is only 10 minutes from Granada city centre but feels 500 years away!

Unique benefits of the property
The central location of the property mean that, not only are you close to bus, car and shop access, with all just metres from the house, but also close to the best view of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains and an easy walk away from the city centre. The private patio offers a lovely view of an old church bell and, sitting under the lemon tree at twilight, you can relax after a hot day's walk around the Alhambra and listen to the sounds of the Albaicin around you.
