The surprising thing about Torre del Mar is how a coastal town of its size has gone unnoticed for so long by all except the Spanish. This becomes even more of a mystery after you do discover it and realise that a more perfect Spanish holiday resort will be hard to find. What the Spanish have known and kept to themselves for years is that Torre is the perfect combination of working seaside town and relaxing resort, neither aspect seeming to affect the other. Torre del Mar is in a completely flat area which makes getting about very easy. Despite the town and beach sitting side by side it is well spread out and gives you the feeling of the two being separate. A perfect marriage of all that is good about a busy Spanish town with all that is great about a sleepy beach resort. You can really please yourself and choose the pace to suit your every whim! Relax and enjoy!

Changeover day is flexible. Arrival time is any time after 1.00 p.m.
Departure time is 10.30 a.m unless otherwise agreed on booking with the owners.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom, kingsize bed and en-suite. Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to Master bedroom with bath/shower, wc, bidet, washbasin. Separate family bathroom with bath/shower, wc and washbasin.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, gas hob, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and all pots, pans and cutlery.
Utility Room: Utility room with washing machine, microwave and gas hot water boiler.
Living Rooms: Open plan living and dining room with 32" Flat Screen Television and English free to view satellite TV. Patio doors lead to the west facing terrace with open aspect view and vistas to the sea.

All bedding and towels provided but not beach towels. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival, any further cleaning during your stay can be arranged with the owner if required.

Notes on accommodation
For those cooler winter evenings, portable gas fires are provided.
For those hot months, there is a ceiling fan in the living room and free standing fans for the bedrooms.

Accessibility
Suitable for people with mobility problems as the block has an entrance ramp and a lift directly to the apartment but sorry the door widths in the apartment are not sufficient for wheelchair access.

Outside
The apartment has a reasonable sized terrace with views of the sea, there is sufficient space for alfresco dining for 4 people with a table and chairs. The communal areas are always kept immaculate and include a large pool with a separate small child friendly pool, tennis court, BBQ area and garden/lawns.
Please note that the pool is only open from the 1st June until the 30th September. Secure parking available for a cost of 1 euro per day payable on arrival.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is just a 2 minute walk away. Known as Playa de Torre del Mar it stretches for 4kms. It is also one of the areas widest beaches and so even in the summer there is plenty of sand to go around. Walk along the promenade Paseo Maritimo de Poniente for 20 minutes longer and you will find yourself in Caleta de Velez with it's stunning Marina and more fantastic fresh seafood restaurants.

Golf
There are 2 golf courses in close vicinity, the nearest being just a 8 minute drive away. Baviera Golf offers an 18 hole course and no membership is required. The second course is an approximate drive of 15 minutes, once again with an 18 hole course. Should you require more information about green fees or would like a golf buddy, my husband would be only too willing to oblige!

Travel
Malaga airport is 30 minutes away and is used by many budget airlines. It also offers a vast amount of car hire companies but car rental is not essential as there is a very good bus service which runs between the airport to the central bus station in Malaga then change for a bus to Torre del Mar. The apartment is a short walk from the bus station, we can meet you, if required at the bus station in Torre or at Malaga Airport and transport you to the apartment for an additional cost.

Distances
A very good and reasonably priced bus service can transport you to Nerja, Torrox Costa, Velez - Malaga, Malaga and more.
There is also a tram which links Torre to Velez- Malaga stopping at El Ingenio, a large shopping mall with numerous shops, restaurants and supermarket.
Should you have a car to travel further afield - Gibraltar, Marbella, Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, Granada are all well worth a visit.

Further details
The centre of Torre del Mar, which is a walk of just 5 minutes away offers every amenity that you will require - shops, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, chemists, doctors, etc. Free Wi-fi is available in the apartment.
The busy Thursday market brings visitors from all around and once again is just a 5 minute walk.
Top class seafood restaurants line the seafront intermingled with Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Italian eateries and of course the obligatory ice cream parlours. The Spanish love their ice cream in the heat of the summer!
The owners live 40 minutes away in case of any problems and are always on the end of a phone should you require any assistance.

Booking notes
Bookings by email. A non-returnable deposit of 30% is required for booking confirmation. Full payment is required 6 weeks before arrival. Payment also accepted in euros by transfer to Spanish account. If you wish to phone me from the UK please call 08447741712 - this will cost you the rate of a local call in the UK. Please let me know when booking if you require transport from either Malaga Airport or Torre bus station. Smoking strictly forbidden within the apartment but on the terrace is fine.

Had a wonderful time in Torre again,we have been coming to the town for at least 15 years and we were very impressed with the apartment- the best furnished and cleanest we have experienced.It is so convenient for restaurants and the fabulous promenade. Writing this on the balcony enjoying the late afternoon sun.Have had a wonderful time here with my husband & 2 kids.(4 and 6 mths). Have never been to Torre before,have always visited Nerja but found this Spanish town friendly and well Spanish ! If you know what I mean, just what we wanted!The apartment is ideal,brilliant location for the beach,restaurants & amusements, especially for my 4 yr old. It's well equipped with everything you need, clean & tidy too. The pool area is also brilliant and, as we have seen on our stay,well maintained.Finally,big thanks to Jim and Lindsey!
