The beach is a mere 20 seconds walk from the front door. This is a 3 level modern house built in 2001, situated within an exclusive new private complex. This quiet development is only a 10 mins drive away from the charming marina and its upmarket restaurants and bars. The house has only recently been fully fitted. Equipped with halogen lighting throughout, air conditioning, heating and with typical terracotta floors. It has been tastefully furnished with much love and every attention to detail. An ideal trekking area, Lake Victoria (a Nature Conservation Area of 5,000 sq mtr with resident fauna such as pink flamingoes and wild ducks) is a 30 second walk from the back door. Horses can also be hired for a ride on the beach and/or around the lake and mountains. Your children will love it!

Prices shown are for the property per week for a maximum of 8 people (2 being children) in UK Pounds.
Rental prices have been calculated taking into account cleaning costs of this large house and laundry costs for bedlinen and towels provided. Also the electricity, gas, water bills and the facilities provided. Pls. note NO discrimination will be made regarding guests' ages. Extra fee for large, brand new wooden cot/bed with spring mattress and baby highchair is £35 per rental week.

Bath and hand towels provided (not to be taken to the beach or swimming pools), as well as bed linen and bath mat. The house will be thoroughly cleaned before and after each let (weekly maintenance only upon request at the time of booking). |
Notes on accommodation
The comfortable and spacious house, its unspoilt scenic location as well as the perfect climate all year round make this an ideal holiday destination for either families with children or a group of friends. It was originally chosen for being an exceptionally relaxing area but also within a short drive from the restaurants (this area is famed for its high-quality fish and seafood), cafes, bars and clubs in the large Almerimar marina area. SKY satellite channels and large collection of popular DVD films for you and your children to enjoy. Large, white wooden cot/bed (Ikea) suitable for babies up to 3 y.o. toddlers, with spring mattress, 2 bed linen changes and quilted bar protectors. Also baby high chair for your use. All bedrooms have a large mirror and a good reading lamp by the bed.
Outside
Sunbathing terrace and small back garden (private) w/ wooden recliners, coffee table, BBQ, rocking chairs, parasols & lanterns. 3 swimming pools facing the seafront (adult, children & toddlers paddling pool) w/ own lifeguard, lavatories, changing rooms and green area for sunbathing with parasols. Paddle-tennis court and children's playground. Beautifully designed green play areas around all complex with palm trees and benches. Security barriers guarantee privacy. Brand new beach boulevard with showers, benches and lawn for stargazing. Particularly recommended is the friendly all-day local beach bar and restaurant where a fresh food tapa is provided for free with every drink purchased. Their prices are so cheap you'll be left wondering if 'happy hour' here is an 'all-day affair'. The beach bar is a 20 sec. walk away from the front door, no need for cooking every day. Smart brand new restaurant 5 mins. walk from the house, open all-day, all year long. Horse-riding available (10 EUR/hr).
Coast/Beach
The long, sandy beach is on your doorstep. You just need to cross over the boulevard, collect your frosted-glass beer with your free tapa on your way to the shore et voila! Almeria is in Guinness W. Records as the place in Europe with more sun hours per year. Rain is very rare! The unusually warm (for Europe) winter climate in Almeria averages 18-24 degrees Centigrade (65-75.2 F), making it the ideal destination all year round. We love to go there in the warm winters to recharge our batteries.
Golf
Almerimar has an excellent and long established 27 hole golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player in 1976 with the lowest green fees of any course in the region. The Clubhouse is very friendly and the attractive restaurant provides excellent food for hungry golfers. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire. The Golf Course is just 10 mins drive away from the house, it could not be more convenient. There are several other highly-rated golf courses in the neighbouring area, including the legendary Desert Springs Golf Course and Academy, chosen by the English Golf Union as its 'Overseas Home' and selected to be host to the Spanish Amateur Open in March 04. Desert Springs is less than one hour's drive away from the house.
Skiing
Being the only place in the world where (between the months of February and mid May) one can be skiing/snowboarding down the world-class slopes of Sierra Nevada Ski Station in the morning and swimming in the sea in the afternoon, there is really little else to say about the privileged location of this holiday home. Sierra Nevada was host to the World Ski Championships in 1996, and together with the highest mountain peak in mainland Spain (Mulhacen 3,482 m/11,424 ft) forms part of the striking view from our back terrace and from bedrooms 2 and 3. The Ski Station is a beautiful 1.5 hour drive from the house via top-class mountain motorways.

Travel
Cheap daily flights with Easyjet and Ryanair from Gatwick and Stansted to Almeria Airport (LEI). Also charter flights from LGW, Birmingham, Manchester and many other UK departure points to Almeria are available with British Airways, Monarch, Mytravellite, Thomson flights, etc. The house is a direct and easy 30 mins drive from the airport via the motorway (detailed directions provided). Car hire is essential for your shopping needs.
Distances
Almeria town with its majestic cathedral, old town tapas bars and elegant designer boutiques is 20 mins drive away. Granada and its famously beautiful Alhambra Palace is less than 2 hours away by car (or 1hr. journey by train from Almeria railway station). Malaga is also 2 hours drive along the coast. The whole Andalusian region is very well serviced by the Mediterranean Highway (E15).
Further details
The large Almerimar marina area is the focus for all the local shops and a new big supermarket. There are also a few banks, a pharmacy, video shops and a good sprinkling of other retail therapy opportunities (including an excellent surfers and scuba-diving shop). There's even a car boot sale on Sundays! The nearest shopping centre, COPO (which includes an impressive hypermarket, boutiques, tapas bars and 10 cinema screens) is a mere 10 mins drive from the house. There are several other malls in the area, we also recommend a visit to the 'Gran Plaza Centre' in Roquetas with its top designer boutiques. Large waterpark also in nearby Roquetas, not far. The nearest major hospital (newly built) is also 10 mins drive from the house. Our own 2 mountain bikes and multigym 2000 weights machine are also at your disposal to exercise under the sun.
Booking notes
Booking of the house is only secured via a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rent amount for the period you require. The remaining balance must be received no later than 8 weeks prior to your arrival. A new cot/bed for babies up to 3yrs and high chair would be available for a small supplementary fee of £35 per week of rental. Call/email for further information.
