The villa has recently been refurbished to a high standard and further improvements are being made this winter. It is ideal for the extended family or group of friends. There are sea views from many of the rooms and terraces. It is arranged as a 2 bed villa, with a large 1 bedroom studio annex this has its own kitchen, shower room and patio area with sea views an extra single bed can be used in here. There is a new outside covered dining area which links the two together, steps lead up from this to the pool terrace. The main entrance to the villa and studio are at the rear of the property behind a second set of gates, this makes it very private and secure from the roadway.
The owner has an apartment downstairs with its own entrance, totally separate from your holiday villa.

Changeover day
Changeover is usually Saturday but can sometimes be flexible. Speak to owner.
Arrival 3pm. Departure 10.00am. This is to allow enough time for cleaning between lets.
Outside peak season the villa or studio can be let separately, speak to owner.

Notes on accommodation
Bedrooms 1 and 2 and the dining room have A/C. Ceiling fan in dining room. Wood burner in sitting room. Part C/H.
Children are welcome but should be supervised at all times around the pool and roof terrace. A travel cot and high chair is available at no extra charge. Cot linen can be supplied if needed.
Accessibility
There are a number of steps in the property, therefore it is not recommended for people with mobility problems.

The villa is set within lovely gardens with mature palms, where you will find sun and shade at different times of the day.

Coast/Beach
There are a number of small rocky coves along the coastline.
Baracca 5 mins drive. Granadella 15 mins drive. Ambola nudist beach 20 mins walk. Cumbra del Sol 25 mins drive.
The Arenal blue flagged sandy beach in Javea is a 10 mins drive away. Plenty to do here for the whole family. Wind surfing, scuba diving, sailing, day boats can be hired from the canal end of the Arenal.
Beautiful clifftop walks with wonderful views.
Travel
Alicante airport 90kms.
Valencia airport 95kms.
A car is recommended to get the best from your stay here and can be hired at the airport. Please book your car at the time of booking air travel as sometimes there is a shortage in the peak season.
Channel ports approx. 19hrs drive.
There is a bus service from Balcon al Mar to Javea 3 times a day in the summer season.
Distances
Denia 30 mins drive. Plenty of shops, outside cafes and bars. 10kms of sandy beaches. Ferries to Ibiza from the Port.
Terra Mitica and Aqualandia are theme parks just on the outskirts of Benidorm, for the young and the young at heart.
Guadalest and the drive over the mountains is spectacular. why not take the electric boat ride around the lake.
No visit to Javea is complete without a walk or climb on the Montgo, this overlooks the whole of Javea and the surrounding areas.
Further details
Balcon al Mar has a supermarket for your day to day needs.
Next door is a little Tapas bar and the tennis courts.
There is a German bar/restaurant which does an excellent menu of the day, a Spanish bar/restaurant, tapas with each drink. Both are a short walk from the villa.
There are plenty of shops, supermarkets, banks, including a Barclays Bank, restaurants and bars in Javea, try some of the smaller places off the side roads. Many have good live music in the evenings.
The local market is held on Thursdays in the Old Town excellent fresh produce. There are quaint streets and squares to wander around, or sit at one of the many cafes and enjoy the atmosphere.
The fish market in the Port opens each day at 6pm. after the boats unload their catch. Plenty of good restaurants here. Take a stroll along the promenade or around the Marina.
The Jalon valley is a short drive away. Here you can sample and buy the local wines. The grapes are usually ready for picking in September, still done the old fashioned way.
You will find golf courses in Javea and Altea. The Marriott Hotel has a superb course. There are bowling clubs nearby. There is no shortage of water sports, wind surfing, scuba diving, sailing and much more.
The Costa Blanca is a very green and attractive part of Spain with a beautiful coastline. It has something to offer all, weather you are after a quiet relaxing holiday or something more energetic.

25% deposit at time of booking, balance monies 6 weeks prior to start date. If start date is less than 6 weeks away then payment in full when booking.
There is a £250 security deposit payable 2 weeks prior to start date. This will be returned 1 week after your holiday has ended once the villa has been checked for any breakages or damage. Credit cards are not accepted.

I bought my villa back in 2004 and chose this area for its outstanding beauty and spectacular sea views.
I am a widow and spend time between the UK and Spain. I take pride in my villa and am constantly making improvements to it. It is important to me that visitors are comfortable here and feel that they are getting good value for money especially in today's difficult financial climate.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I chose this villa for the wonderful sea views and stunning scenery. It is in a well established and quiet residential area, but still only a 10 minute drive to the centre of Javea and the family friendly Arenal beach.
There is a supermarket, bars, restaurants and tennis courts all within walking distance of the villa.
This part of Spain has the most wonderful coastline, sandy beaches and hidden coves, some can only be reached by boat. There is plenty for all the family to enjoy in the area, you can make your holiday as relaxed or busy as you wish
