The villa is located in the beautiful urbanisation of San Nicolas less than 10 minutes walk into the village and bay of La Herradura. With wonderful sea and mountain views, there is lots of outside space offering sun all day - the property is all on one level so making it ideal for all ages. Accessed via a secure gate, there is off road parking with a driveway leading up to the villa. The large living room/dining area has a feature open fireplace. Off the living area is a large covered wooden decked area with tables and chairs. There are various pebbled and tiled garden areas with planters and at the top end is a BBQ area. There are stunning sea views from the exterior and many of the rooms have sea views.

Changeover day
Flexible changeover day but ideally Saturday (depending on previous booking). Villa to be vacated by 10am on morning of departure to allow for cleaning. Guests arrive from 4pm.

Accessibility
The villa and terraces are arranged on one level. There are only 3 steps down to the front door but the house can also be accessed from the rear where there is only one step. Some of the interior doorways however are not wide enough for a wheelchair.
Outside
The villa has a plot of 800m2. There is a long drive, various terraces and garden areas and a large covered terrace area if you want a break from the mid-day sun!
Coast/Beach
The local beach is 8 minutes walk away or a 5 minute drive. The naturalist beach Cantarrijan is about a 15 minute drive.
Golf
There are 2 golf courses within 30 mins from the property. Bavieira Golf Club located beyond Nerja on the road to Malaga. Los Moriscos Golf Club located about 25 mins away beyond Salobrena. Also Granada Golf Club 1 Hour's drive towards Sierra Nevadas.
Skiing
There is skiing in the Sierra Nevadas about 1 hour's drive away.
Special interest holidays
There are many activities available here and further details can be provided on request. These include Spanish classes, art classes (art and pottery), horse riding, sailing, organised walks, diving etc. There are leaflets and information on all these activities and more at the villa.
Travel
Malaga airport is about 50 minutes away and Granada just over an hour. Both airports are easily accessible by car, taxi or public transport.
Distances
Almunecar about 10 minutes drive, Nerja 15 minutes, Malaga and Granada about an hour.
Further details
The village has a good selection of shops, cafes and bars. There are various banks who speak English, a post office and tourist information office.
There are many villages and places of interest nearby including Nerja wtih caves, shopping, bars and beaches.
Almuñecar with shops, bars, beach, market and water park.
Frigiliana a beautiful white village. Malaga with shops, bars, beach, museums and port.
Granada stunning city and Alhambra Palace. Sierra Nevadas and pretty villages such as Lanjarron and Salobreña.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is payable on booking with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival date. If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks before scheduled arrival date then 50% of total rental fee will be forfeit. Cancellation less than 2 weeks before will result in full forfeiture unless the villa is relet for the period. A security deposit of 250€ is required. This will be added to the final payment and will be refunded at the end of the holiday, provided no breakages or damages have occurred.

Unique benefits of the property
The villa is bright and modern on the inside with cream floors and white walls contrasted against the dark woodwork but has the traditional Andalucian exterior mixing the old and new resulting in pleasant and comfortable living environment. Being arranged on one level makes it an easy and practical space to stay in. The two guest bedrooms are separated from the lounge by a hallway and door which is ideal if you have children or anyone who wants an early night or some private space.
