La Herradura has a PADI registered diving centre, a wind surfing and sailing school, horse riding and golf courses are readily available, and there is a water park in Almunecar. The coast from Nerja to La Herradura is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has been designated a natural park, with wonderful views, secluded beaches and pine clad mountains.

Notes on accommodation
The air-conditioning has both hot(ideal for Autumn and winter rentals) and cold programmes. There is a childrens pool as well as the main pool. Smoking is only permitted on the terrace. Pets are not allowed.

Full access to all areas by wheelchair, sloping walkways to swimming pool. Elevator to apartment from basement car park.
Outside
External table, chairs and a square parasol are available for terrace area.

Coast/Beach
The beach of La Herradura is 5 minutes by car, in 10 minutes the marina "Marina del Este", where you can find Diving school,a quayside restaurants and an exclusive little beach.
As Carmenes del Mar development is locate just together a Special Natural Place, inside it is El Cañuelo a stunning peaceful beach highly recommended.
In la Herradura there are lots of Chiringuitos and restaurants, as well as different places for nightlife like "La Cochera" our favourite.
Golf
Three golf courses within 30 minutes drive of the apartment at Nerja or Motril.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada ski resort is approximately 90 minutes drive away.

1 Hour Malaga Airport by car.

2 Hours Almeria Airport
Car hire is strongly recommended to explore the area,Granada, the Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada, and surrounding villages.

As we try to transmit in the different sections of this advertisement we do love this area of Granada coast. We are divers, is how we first met the La Herradura bay, almost twenty years ago. Since then we have increase our visits there while our daughters were growing up and we have learnt to know/love all the special things and people we have found in this special place where nature and peace are usually together. The stunning views, the sea, even the light you can found at any time all over the year, not only in summer, just try and we are sure you as well will fall in love or at least will find anything you were looking for, peace, fun, sports, beach, nature, good restaurants or virgin places, safe beach for children, silence or good live music.
