"Cascada De Las Golondrinas" is in a tranquil spot, the last house in a quiet cul-de-sac, framed between the stunning views westerly and the dramatic rise of the mountain behind. Stretching up and away from the large private pool the enchanting garden gradually blends seamlessly into its surroundings. Typical of the unique village of Cabrera, with its rich moroccan theme and sunny terraces the villa has all the grandeur of a traditional Andalucian "Cortijo" successfully combined with the comfort of 21st century life. Having been built into the slope the bedrooms are on the lower level and lead straight out onto the pool terrace. The extensive private pool, measuring 11m, has been ingeniously carved around the contours of the mountain and is surrounded by ample sunbathing space. The well stocked garden frames the property in a thoughtful manner providing privacy and a constant flood of colour.

Notes on accommodation
3 of the four bedrooms are air conditioned.
The expansive terraces, garden and large pool make this lovely villa suitable for young children.
Accessibility
there are a number of steps around the property and I would not particularly recommend it for the disabled.
Outside
The dining terrace features a traditional mosaic tiled dining table with wrought iron chairs.
The pool terrace has ample sunloungers and shade.
There is another lovely terrace to the rear (good for shade in the summer evenings) again featuring traditional mosaic table and chairs. The private pool is 11m in length and is beautifully sculpted around the landscape.
Coast/Beach
The long and varied coastline of Almeria province is only 20mins away by car. The resort of Mojacar Playa has numerous stretches of blue flag beaches together with all the facilities you might expect in a summer resort. Heading north the sandy coastline features many more and equally notable beaches. To the south the pristine marine environment of rocky coves and sandy inlets that make up the Cabo De Gata national park are a haven for keen divers and sailors.
Golf
3 klms from the villa is the well renowned family 9 hole golf course of the Cortijo Grande". Surrounded by the mountainous landscape and dotted with almond and orange groves its picturesque setting only serves to enhance this well constructed and challenging course.
About 20mins away by car is the championship golf course of Valle del este whose immaculate fairways and slick greens will please the most demanding golf visitor.
About 35mins away by car is the famous Desert Springs course. Designed by Peter Macavoy and inspired by the desert courses of the United States this is probably one of Spain's premiere golf venues.
Travel
The higher of a rental car is essential when visiting Cabrera.
There are 3 international airports within easy driving distance.
Almeria airport is under 1 hour away .
Murcia airport is 1.5 hours by car.
Alicante is 2 hours away by car.
The villa is only 15mins from the nearest motorway exit, making it very accessible indeed.
Distances
Turre is the nearest town only 6klms away and has restaurants, local shops and a couple of supper markets.
The white washed hill top village of Mojacar Pueblo is less than 10klms away and has many quaint narrow streets, traditional town squares and a myriad of interesting boutiques and shops to browse through.
The fishing port of Garrucha is within 20mins in the car and has a busy marina and many fine fish restaurants.
Other towns of note would be Nijar, famous for pottery or Almeria.
Further details
The villa is situated in the unique village of Cabrera, its Morrish architecture and stunning mountain setting making it quite unique. There are two lovely restaurants and a bar in Cabrera and walking distance from the villa. Los Pastores has a fine Mediterranean menu, its terraces situated perfectly to take advantage of the amazing setting. Restaurant Riad Cabrera is a long established family business, its culinary influence coming from the north African continent only 100klms away. Bar El Arco is open from mid morning till late, serving delicious coffee, fantastic tapas and fine beer and wine. Also in the village are other excellent facilities including a modern all weather tennis and petanque courts. Also available is Yoga courses and lessons. There is also a long established horse riding ranch where lessons can easily be booked. Also the surrounding hills provide extensive and varied hillwalking.
